Meet Stephen Merrill | Founder of Purpose

We had the good fortune of connecting with Stephen Merrill and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Stephen, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?

Honestly, we started Purpose because we saw there was a true need to serve people at an authentic level.

It was 2019 and I was working in the corporate world. I was the Director of a department managing 20 internal team members and consulting with over 350 business owners. I recognized the key difference between companies, clients, and team members who succeeded and those who didn’t was simply one thing: Clarity of Purpose.

I would come home from the office and have conversations with my wife about this burning passion I had to serve people. I wanted to guide people on their journey to gain clarity on exactly what they wanted out of their lives while providing a blueprint for growth. She simply looked at me and said: “Steve, go start the company”

That’s when Purpose was born.

What should our readers know about your business?

At Purpose, we are Navigators. We guide our clients on their path to Purpose both personally and professionally.

We are dedicated to working with companies and their employees to reduce burnout, dissatisfaction, and confusion while increasing productivity, profitability and progression through clarity of Purpose.

We also work with professional athletes, Veterans, and entrepreneurs as they work through major transitions in their lives.

We pride ourselves on providing every single one of our clients with personalized tools that we have created, systems that are proven, and processes that are guaranteed to create a purposeful, growing environment.

We have always been 100% dedicated to our clients and understanding where they are, what they are struggling with, and how we can work together to guide them on their Path to Purpose.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Miami is one of the most incredible cities in the world.

I grew up in the North East so when I moved to Miami, it was a completely eye-opening experience for me.

Whenever family and friends visit us, we have to go to Brickell City Centre and experience the vibrance, culture, and creativity of our amazing city.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My wife Karissa, is my everything. She is my backbone, my support system, and my constant drive. Since day one, she has positively pushed me to become the best, most effective, and aware version of myself while always focusing on authentically serving our clients in the most valuable way possible.
