Meet Susan Bunch | Owner, Keneca Coastal and past School Principal

We had the good fortune of connecting with Susan Bunch and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Susan, every day, we about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
Several of my local girlfriends are snowbirds and many are from outside the US such as London, Canada etc. . Since they do not like to drive here, I would take them to places like Miami, Palm Beach, Cabbage Key etc for a fun girls day out. They loved visiting all of the fun and interesting places and I loved taking them! I am always amazed at how many gorgeous places there are to visit so close to Naples. My girlfriends wanted to go again and again and it made me think how badly Naples needs a day excursion company that connects us to other beautiful South Florida attractions around us. Thus, the idea of Keneca Coastal was born!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Straight out of college I worked for a major airline and later became a school principal I always loved travel and education for as long as I can remember. so these were perfect positions for me. Both helped prepare me for becoming a business owner. today, and believe it or not there are many similarities between running a school and running a business. Once the idea of Keneca Coastal came to mind I realized I had the opportunity to integrate my love of travel and education into a brand new opportunity for southwest Florida.. I have a lot of passion and enthusiasm for the extraordinary beauty and history of South Florida and I believe the type of fun and exciting experiences we offer are priceless.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have an abundance of gratitude to God for giving me an amazing family and friends and endless opportunities.
