We had the good fortune of connecting with Tamas Laczko and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tamas, why did you pursue a creative career?
I’ve always had a passion for creativity, ever since I was a kid. I used to spend time with my dad in his garage, learning new things and building stuff.
When I moved to America, I decided to follow my dreams and put all the ideas in my head into action. I love expressing my creativity through the things I build, and I’m excited to see what I’ll create in the future.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I believe that my imagination and creativity set me apart from others. While there are many artists all over the world, not all of them have the skills to bring their ideas to life. I take pride in my work and the attention to detail that I put into it. Many custom bike builders overlook the small details, but I believe that’s what makes my work stand out. It’s definitely not an easy job, but the motivation and recognition that comes with it make it all worth it.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Thank goodness I live in a beautiful state with plenty to see. My best friend is crazy about motorcycles and good food. Over the years, I’ve discovered many great places to eat. First, I recommend RockNRoll Rib Place in Coral Springs on 441, very close to Wiles Rd. The design and vibe of the place are just rockin’, and I love that the owner is the drummer of Iron Maiden. They even have their own beer, Trooper, which is my favorite. After that, I suggest Cafe 27, where there are always friendly bikers and live music almost every day. It’s a great place to relax after a long day. The next day, I’d recommend an airboat ride. If you’ve never tried gator, it’s a must! The gator bites are delicious. Later in the evening, I’d visit the 430 Boardroom, where many of my good friends who are car and motorcycle fanatics hang out. Although they don’t serve food there, there’s a place right next to it where you can find the best brisket sandwich. My next destination would be Tarpon Springs, where you can rent a clear kayak or canoe and explore the gorgeous, crystal clear water. You can see many fishes and different kinds of lizards. After your tour, I suggest visiting one of the best restaurants on the pier.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Every idea I come up with, whether in the past or present, is all me. Life is what gives me the biggest credit in my story. All the difficulties I’ve faced and places I’ve been have given me motivation and helped me through. When I’m in my thinking phase, sitting in front of the next motorcycle I’m going to work on, memories from the past flash back and help me put together new ideas.
