We had the good fortune of connecting with Tana M. Llinás and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tana, what do you attribute your success to?
Reputation. The success of Brand Poets is built on happy customers referring us to more customers. We believe that every brand has a story to tell — an authentic story. Our story begins with understanding the client’s pain points with their branding and marketing whether its coordinating too many freelancers, not understanding who their customer is or not having the bandwidth to market themselves effectively. When we truly understand this, we become their partner, an extension of their team. We build trust in our relationships through ethical business practices, proven results and simply being fun to work with. Reputation is something that is built, not bought so we work at it every day.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
At Brand Poets, we tell better stories for brands who want better connections. We do this by creating authentic brand systems and then telling the world about them through digital marketing channels.
We focus on human first — cultural and environmental influences that drive perception. Then, we layer in a level of data sophistication to put together authentic brand systems that resonate with diverse audiences. This combination makes us a leader in customer journeys.
As a business owner for over 15 years, I’ve learned that team is just as important as clients and that building a team-managed business empowers people to step up and allows the business to scale. Having a supportive team (both professional and personal) is also key to making tough decisions and navigating rough waters because entrepreneurship is not for the weak stomachs. In turn, celebrating our achievements such as campaign launches, new team members, successful pitches are equally important to team building.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Our week would be a combination of urban art and white sand. Start in Wynwood and window shop at the small design boutiques, then head to Coyo Taco and Wynwood Walls, perhaps attend a gallery opening in the evening. Beach days are a must. My fave is South of 5th on Miami Beach early morning before the rush of the tourists. Another great spot is Key Biscayne near the lighthouse. The restaurant and laid back crowd make the day relaxing and easy. And lastly, since my young boys are into everything nature, we’ll head down the keys for a day or to to feed the tarpon at Robbie’s, swim with dolphins at Theatre by the Sea and eat yummy seafood at the Square Grouper.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
