We had the good fortune of connecting with Tania Raudales and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tania, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Starting a business is a commitment and requires dedication, resources and sacrifice. All my experience working in retail led me to start my own business. My thought process behind starting my own business was how I will help customers to feel good about themselves in their outfits.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Outfit of the day is a Women clothing store located in the heart of South Miami. I had faced a lot challenges where I thought closing the store, but my hard work and dedication had led me to be a better person, a better business owner. What I have learned is never give up, keep working on your dreams.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I will take them to the wynwood food tour, for dinner we can do Contessa in design district, for drinks and dance ball and chain on eighth Street. If they feel a little more adventurous we can do shark valley.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Well is been a long journey. I opened the store in May 2015, 5 months later I was getting divorced, December 2015 my landlord said he will renovate the building where I had the store so I needed to move out, I cried bcuz all my hard work and dreams were gone but thanks to my mentors Boris & Mirian who helped me to move my store to their business I was able to keep my store. The rest is history I’m still standing my business is better than never and I’m grateful for it.
