We had the good fortune of connecting with Tatiana Freitas and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tatiana, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
I’m very focus in helping moms and families in the community. I was born and raised in Brazil, I moved to the US back in 1997 with my 9 month daughter and my parents. I really didn’t get the time to go pursue school because I was already working as a Baby sister and had to learn English first! So I did that for years, when I had the opportunity to go back to school I got a Medical Assistant Certification and worked for several years in that field. Then I got married in 2010, had another baby and I was a stay home mom taking care of the house. And I trying to get busy with something..
That’s when I started Dicas e Diversão (Tips And Fun in SOFLO) And here is what I do, I love sharing my experiences, tips on places that I visited, promoting events to families, visitors and residents of South Florida!
Getting to know my audience and being able to help moms and families in the community is the best thing that ever happened to me! It was a wonderful opportunity to work from home, those are the reason why I love my job!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m a vibrant and very dedicated mom that works on a ~family Blog~ that engages with families in the communities in South Florida! My passion is to help and connect the best local accessible events and activities to families.

I’m not going to say that getting here was easy, I still have to work very hard, day by day, keep my commitments, my work requires a lot of dedication, patience and persistence! Every day is a learning lesson.
I have a wonderful husband that is always by my side cheering me up, listening to my frustrations and giving me tons of advice and that has helped to overcome most of my challenges!

This has been a great experience for me, I have learned to work very hard especially when you are working on your own, be resistant and never give up!

I would like the world to know that what I do is very special, I really enjoy helping new families and if my story can inspire you is to follow your dreams, it can turn into a beautiful and new beginning and opportunities!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Atlantic Ave. Is packed with great restaurants, fancy boutiques and great ice cream shops!
For the best nightlife in South Florida everyone has to hang out in the perfect downtown Delray Beach or Fort Lauderdale with clubs, bars and beautiful people!
But that’s not it! We have also so many restaurants in the Intercostal Like Deck 84 in Delray Beach, Old Key Lime in Lantana or Guanabanas in Jupiter – they can enjoy a tour of the Lighthouse and experience a wonderful view of the Ocean, Beach and the Boats!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Sure!
My whole family has been very supportive all along the process, my husband Eddie, daughter Gaby, son Kyle, my mom Elita Freitas and of course GOD!
They are my foundation and inspiration for my life, career and business to move forward and succeed!
