Meet Tatiana Morales | Licensed Esthetician- Sensitive and Medically Compromised Skin Expert

We had the good fortune of connecting with Tatiana Morales and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tatiana, how do you think about risk?
I believe risk is an essential part of growth—both personally and professionally. To me, taking a risk isn’t about being reckless; it’s about trusting your instincts, embracing change, and being willing to step outside of your comfort zone to create something meaningful. Every major step in my career has been shaped by a pivotal risk.
My first significant risk was leaving a successful 14-year career as an interior designer to follow my passion for skincare. In 2014, I made the bold decision to start over as an esthetician while balancing the responsibilities of being a mother to a young child. It was daunting, but I knew in my heart that this was the path I was meant to take.
The next defining risk was choosing to specialize in oncology esthetics at a time when very few people even understood what that meant. While others focused on traditional beauty treatments, I saw the urgent need for compassionate, specialized care for those undergoing cancer treatments. It was an uncharted path, but I was determined to educate myself and advocate for safe, effective skincare solutions for immunocompromised clients.
Perhaps my most daring move was breaking away from the traditional spa setting and converting a 15-passenger van into a fully functional mobile skincare therapy room. This decision was unconventional, but it allowed me to bring skincare to those who needed it most—women who value personalized, one-on-one care in the comfort of their own space. It was a leap of faith, but it redefined my practice and set me apart in the industry.
Each of these risks has led me to where I am today—serving women with expertise, compassion, and a deep commitment to helping them “age with grace.” Risk, when taken with intention and purpose, has been the driving force behind my career, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
What sets me apart from others in the esthetics industry is not just what I do, but how I do it. My business is built on innovation, compassion, and a deep understanding of sensitive and immunocompromised skin. One of the biggest differentiators is my mobile skincare therapy room. Instead of clients coming to me, I bring high-quality, personalized skincare right to their doorstep in my van. It’s an unconventional approach, but one that allows me to offer a level of convenience and care that traditional settings can’t always provide.
Another defining aspect of my practice is my specialization in oncology esthetics. Early in my career, I recognized a gap in the industry—very few estheticians understood how to safely care for clients undergoing cancer treatments. I took it upon myself to become oncology trained, learning how to provide gentle, effective skincare for those with compromised skin barriers. This work goes beyond esthetics; it’s about helping people feel seen, comforted, and confident during a vulnerable time in their lives.
My passion for this field led me to create WoW Therapy for Hope, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing compassionate skincare to individuals undergoing cancer treatment. What makes this initiative even more special is that it’s funded entirely by the generosity of my clients—the tips they give me are allocated to WoW Therapy for Hope, allowing me to offer services to those who cannot afford them. Through this initiative, I aim to restore a sense of normalcy and self-care, reminding people that beauty and well-being are still theirs to embrace, no matter what they are going through. My approach is integrative—I focus on progressive, non-aggressive treatments that prioritize long-term skin health, ensuring that every client receives care tailored to their unique needs.
How did I get here? With dedication, resilience, and an unwavering belief in my vision. It wasn’t easy—being a solo esthetician comes with its own set of challenges, from managing every aspect of the business to constantly evolving with industry trends. Impostor syndrome was something I had to push through, especially when forging a unique path in a field where most professionals followed a more traditional route. But every challenge became a lesson, and every lesson strengthened my purpose.
At the core of everything I do, my message is simple: “If you dream it, you can do it” My journey is proof that taking risks, believing in yourself, and staying true to your passion can lead to something extraordinary. I want the world to know that skincare is more than just beauty—it’s about well-being, confidence, and self-care at every stage of life.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend were visiting, I would make sure she experienced the perfect mix of culture, food, adventure, and relaxation. While Miami has so much to offer, my heart truly belongs to the Keys, so we would definitely make time for a little island escape. We’d start by exploring Miami’s vibrant art scene at Wynwood Walls and the Miami Design District, stopping for an incredible Peruvian meal at CVI.Che 105. A visit to Vizcaya Museum and Gardens would add a touch of history and breathtaking beauty before enjoying dinner at Boia De, a hidden gem with outstanding Italian-inspired dishes. No trip to Miami is complete without experiencing the heart of Little Havana, so we’d grab Cuban coffee at a ventanita, stroll down Calle Ocho, watch abuelos play dominoes at Máximo Gómez Park, and indulge in a delicious Cuban sandwich from Sanguich de Miami. Later, we’d unwind with craft cocktails in Coconut Grove or at a trendy speakeasy. To take in the city’s stunning waterfront, we’d spend time walking through Bayfront Park, maybe even taking a boat tour. If there’s an art exhibition, live music event, or festival happening, we’d make sure to check it out. Then, for the ultimate escape, we’d hit the road to the Florida Keys, stopping in Islamorada for a laid-back lunch before heading to Key West to explore Duval Street, Hemingway’s House, and Mallory Square’s famous sunset celebrations. The days would be filled with paddleboarding, kayaking, snorkeling, or simply relaxing on the beach with fresh seafood and tropical drinks. To wrap up the trip, we’d return to Miami for a slow morning at the beach or a spa, reflecting on an unforgettable week. Whether in the city or by the ocean, I’d make sure my best friend experiences the very best of Miami and the Keys—a perfect balance of culture, adventure, and relaxation.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Success is never a solo journey, and I am incredibly grateful for the love, support, and encouragement I’ve received along the way. If I had to dedicate my shoutout to one person, it would undoubtedly be my husband. From the very beginning, he has been my biggest supporter—believing in me even when I doubted myself.
When I made the decision to leave my established career in interior design to pursue esthetics, he never questioned it. Instead, he encouraged me to follow my passion and reminded me that I was capable of creating something meaningful. When I took the leap into oncology esthetics—an unfamiliar field at the time—he stood by me, cheering me on as I carved out my own path. And when I made the bold choice to transform a 15-passenger van into a mobile skincare therapy room, he was right there, helping me bring my vision to life.
His unwavering faith in me, his patience, and his constant support have been instrumental in my journey. Through every challenge and every risk, he has been my rock, reminding me that dreams are worth pursuing and that with dedication, anything is possible.
Of course, I also want to recognize the incredible mentors, clients, and industry peers who have contributed to my growth, but my husband’s belief in me has been the foundation that allowed me to take those first big steps. I wouldn’t be where I am today without him, and for that, I am forever grateful.
