We had the good fortune of connecting with Tereka Rowe and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tereka, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
When I decided to start my very own business I thought long and hard as to what that line of business will be. I went through a process of elimination of things I find enjoyable for me that can be very lucrative. I believe if you are going to start a business it should be something that you are passionate about and will make sacrifices for. You don’t want be burnt out or unhappy with your choice of business down the road. I know starting a business wasn’t going to be easy and there will be bumps in the road. Keeping a level head and pushing through will always leads to all your hard work playing off..

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
What sets me apart from other is the ability to provide a variety of products with exceptional customer service. Getting the business to where it’s at currently took a lot of promoting via social media, flyers and online adds. Though for my line of business of operating a online adult toy store it requires a little more strategy when it comes to promo. It can be a bit difficult at times but I continue to find ways on ensuring my products get out there to consumers. Some lessons I’ve learned doing this journey is continue to put good energy into your business and stay focus on the goals that you have set. I am a very determined individual with it comes to something I am passionate about. I will continue to push my business to its limit. My goal is to have one of the biggest online adult store and I will not stop until it is accomplished.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Las Olas in Fort Lauderdale will always be my go to area when it comes to nightlife. Definitely take a trip to Wynwood would one on the list with lots of great restaurants and lounges to choose from. Can’t forget the beach.
