We had the good fortune of connecting with Tomislav-Jeffrey Jemrić and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tomislav-Jeffrey, any advice for those thinking about whether to keep going or to give up?
Sometimes life can be hard, you will think that all your dreams won’t come true, but if you have the slightest feeling that you’re going to succeed, you have to hold on to it and build on top of it.

If you feel that you’re on the right path, you are. For me, it is exciting to see what the future holds for me. The easiest thing to do is give up, go back to your day-to-day job, and dream again…

The most important thing that I’ve learned in my life, it’s ok to fail; you have to fail, but never give up. Over time you’re going to build a thick skin, and by doing that 50% off your work to be successful is already done. Because after a while, you will stop worrying about failure. You will have confidence and you will be more focused on your goal and you will not lose energy on negative stuff, that is to give up.

We all say that in life you have to try everything, and failing is one thing, so turn that into a positive thing for you, tick it off from your bucket list and forget about it and focus on your goal.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I never thought of myself as just a photographer. I like to think of myself as a person who you contact for help. I help people to get desired results, for that you should be more than just a photographer.

I’m planning to open my business this year, it’s a big step for me, and for me, it is a leap of faith, but I’m not worrying. I just need to focus on my goal and enjoy the ride.

I learned a lot over the years, now with that knowledge and experience, I think I’m ready to build my business.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Since I’m from Zagreb Croatia, I would definitely do a small tour in the city center, visit a few bars or pubs, then we would grab something to eat. I don’t know where precisely because there are a lot of great places to hang and to dine. The next day we would probably hit the road in my rally car and visit Sljeme, the mountain next to Zagreb, where I would give him a small taste of what it’s like in a rally car on the proper rally stage.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Big thanks go to my family, my fiancee Kia, for supporting me. Also, I would like to thank my friends and colleagues, Luka Hrvatić, Ivan Brezec, Toni Fereza, from whom I have learned so much over the past year.
