We had the good fortune of connecting with Trajan Moreland and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Trajan, career-wise, where do you want to be in the end?
The end goal, um I wanna say.. there’s no end goal. I don’t want anything to end per-say. I want to accomplish my goals and immediately make new bigger ones after. My goals as of right now is becoming so successful with this passion of mine, that my mom and family don’t have to work anymore. Being so successful that I live off a dream. My dream!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My Brand is called Gutta Strands. Gutta meaning urban & hood. And Strands being a piece of thread. I started this business after one of the roughest years of my life. I was a senior getting ready to make my final goodbyes when covid-19 took everything consider fun and memorable away. I didn’t walk a stage, I didn’t go to prom etc. I was probably more sad and down then I ever been in my life. Going through all that heartbreak, I didn’t think something so special would come out of it. Gutta strands is different from the rest because it’s about enhancing your beauty and swag that you already have. We are nothing more then a enhancer. we bring your dopest outfits visions to life.

Starting this journey was far from easy and still isn’t. But everyday it’s worth it.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
The place we grew up on in palm beach is called city place! The food, the music & movies all in one place. But now a days we travel to Miami, which is about 40 mins to a hour away. We go to south beach! South beach is full of vibes and good food. I highly recommend!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
When people say it takes a village, they literally mean it takes a VILLAGE! My friends & family are my rocks. When ever I’m down and can’t see my bad times ending they remind me I am somebody and I have somewhere to make it too. Without them I’m nothing.
