We had the good fortune of connecting with Twiz Taylor and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Twiz, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
The nucleus of my business is UPLIFT. The further I journey down this entrepreneurial road the more I discover that everything I do is tied to uplift. As a professional photographer I take photos that make people feel good about themselves. The Mogul Motivation podcast keeps people’s motivation at a high when they are feeling low. The SoCHiology podcast highlights stories of everyday Chicagoans and educates on Chicago culture, facts, and history. All of this is just the tip of the iceberg.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
The Mogul Motivation podcast is heavy with metaphors and allegories. I use those devices to convey inspirational messages about our trails and tribulations in life. The key is to remind you that you are not alone and you will persevere no matter what. The SoCHiology podcast I like to weave my creativity into the topics and conversations I have with others to make the content engaging. When it comes to my novels I love great twists that spins the reader around just when they “think” they have it all figured out.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
When someone comes to Chicago it is a MUST I take them to: Harold’s, Portillos, Beggar’s Pizza and Lou Malnati’s. The Sears Tower, the Chicago River, and depending on the season the lakefront are crucial spots to enjoy.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to give a shoutout to the following individuals that have poured into me in major ways: Nicole, my grandma, my cousin Sonny, and my Uncle Ronnie.
