Meet Tyler Reid | Model,Actor & Stylist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Tyler Reid and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tyler, what inspires you?
I find most of my inspiration from music & film, Artists like Tyler the Creator,Mac Miller & Lil Peep pushed me to want to be my genuine self and shut out all negativity. Filmmakers such as Wes Anderson & Terry Gilliam have always amazed me with their visuals and inspire me to make my own visual masterpieces

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
To get to where I am now was no easy task it took so many weekends of using all my time off of work & whatever little money I had to get new pieces for shoots. I faced a lot of negativity and people who judged me because they didn’t fully understand what I was doing but I always knew it would be worth jt. My career so far has taught me the true value of persistence and to never take rejection to heart, I promise for every opportunity you lose there’s two more waiting around the corner . I want the world to see my work and be inspired to make whatever crazy or weird idea they have come to fruition, I wouldn’t be the artist I am without the amazing people who inspired & pushed me to be the man I am now & I want to be that inspiration for others

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love roaming around Wynwood & Design District there’s so much art,shopping & amazing places for photo ops. Miami truly has a unique community between all of the cultures & different artists in the scene. For food and drinks I’m a big fan of always trying something new there’s so many options in miami, But I am a sucker for the coffee at Chrome Hearts in Design District, if your ever there ask for a cappuccino from George you won’t regret it

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My parents for always being there for me & supporting my dreams even when they didn’t really understand what I was doing, but still kept faith in me & my efforts
