We had the good fortune of connecting with Vanessa Sirni and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Vanessa, what inspires you?
I am truly inspired by the beauty of our Earth. Ever since I was little, I knew I wanted to see as much of this planet as possible. From the lush rainforests to the deep blue seas, I learn something new everytime that I feel connected to nature. It is easy to get caught up in everyday nuisances, but I always find that balance when I am surrounded by nature. I am constantly reminding myself to slow down and be patient with myself as I am only human. We are more connected to our Earth than many tend to realize. The inspiration for my creativity and business is lead by that connection, and I hope to inspire others to feel the same.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I love to travel the world and document my photos, videos, and unique experiences every step of the way. I always want to be my genuine self when creating my content. This then attracts like-minded people- some that I have had the pleasure to collaborate with. I have made many connections with people all over the world. This reminds me that no matter how large I think this planet is, it truly is so small at the same time. The whole purpose of my travel blog and business is to encourage everyone to travel as much as they can. Many people get discouraged or think that you need to have a lot of money to be able to travel. While this may be true depending on the vacation you are looking for, my goal with Sea You Soon Trips is to make it accessible for everyone to learn the tips and tricks I can offer. I strive to teach my clients and audience that traveling can be cost effective, easy and fun! I am looking forward to growing my audience and knowing that I have the ability to inspire others.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Residing in the South Florida area, I am blessed to have so many places to see and things to do. I always joke to those who are visiting that you can live down here 100 years and still not be able to eat at every restaurant. South Florida has plenty of entertainment depending on what you are looking for. I love the balance of the slower pace if you would prefer to be beachside, or if you are more of nightlife lover, Miami area would have that faster pace for those night owls.
For my fellow nature and science lovers here are my recommendations:

Bonnet House – Ft. Lauderdale, FL. This eccentric plantation turned museum and garden venue is a hidden gem right off of Fort Lauderdale Beach! This home and all of its mis-matching artwork reminds us all to take chances, and to always surround yourself with nature and beauty.

Flamingo Gardens-Davie, FL. A nonprofit organization that rehabilitates injured wildlife and cares for tropical and subtropical plants. They always have special events happening, especially around holidays. Super fun for those of all ages!

Butterfly World-Coconut Creek, FL. Opened in 1988, this is the world’s largest butterfly and bird park! They are home to thousands of butterflies and exotic free-flying birds all year round. You can even take home your own pupa and watch it grow into a butterfly to release into the wild!

If you enjoy music, dancing and arts you must check out:

Bayside Marketplace- Miami, FL. This family friendly waterfront destination has plenty of shopping, eating and entertainment options.

The Wharf – Las Olas, FL. This spacious outdoor bar has various food trucks, games like cornhole and pingpong, and has multiple spaces to hang out or dance with your friends. Family friendly until night hours.

Wynwood Jungle- Wynwood, FL. Home to various shops, and a classy rooftop bar, the artwork and installations will be sure to catch your eye.

For my foodies:

Beach House – Pompano Beach, FL. One of my favorite spots to eat! Sits right ontop of the beach so you will enjoy the amazing views while eating delicious foods.

Timpanos- Ft Lauderdale, FL. Their pasta is handcrafted daily. Their famous cheese bowl costs $700 to import from Italy and it is 45lbs! So yummy and fresh.

Lynora’s -Boca Raton, FL. This brunch spot is known for it’s delicious Italian food, but come prepared with your dancing shoes as around 1PM, it turns into a day club!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My best friend Alissa has been pivotal in my growth and inspiration. I have known her for over 13 years and we have grown together in our many stages of life. She is an amazing artist and soul who I can always count on. We always have the most in-depth conversations, which tends to spark a lot of our creativity and inspiration for our work. She has always been supportive in my creative endeavors. You can check her artwork out at @alissarosearts on instagram.
