Meet Vendler Tattoo

We had the good fortune of connecting with Vendler Tattoo and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Vendler, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I began my creative path through street art and graffiti at a young age, and it quickly became more than just something I enjoyed. Developing my own signature style and earning recognition within that space shaped both my artistic identity and my understanding of personal branding.
Through the relationships I built, I was introduced to tattooing. Unlike other art forms, body art becomes part of someone’s life and story. It’s not temporary or strictly decorative , in most cases, it carries meaning.
I realized that the foundation I built in art could evolve into something more long term. Tattooing allowed me to apply everything I had learned , technically and creatively – into a lifelong profession and a foundation on which I could build my personal brand and long-term business.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I Focus mostly on large scale, high contrast black and grey tattoos with custom composition. Flow is everything to me. I design pieces so they move naturally with the body, which gives each project a really intentional, custom feel.
I’m proud of the style I’ve developed over the years. It didn’t happen overnight , it took a long time to refine it to the point where it’s recognizable in the industry. The way my work heals is hard to replicate because it’s based on a signature shading technique I’ve built over more than a decade.
Even after the tattoo heals, it keeps its contrast and clarity. A lot of my clients tell me their pieces almost look fresh years later, and that really comes down to being intentional from the very start of the design.
One of the challenges was realizing that making great art is only part of it. Being a great artist is important, but if you want to grow beyond that, you have to think bigger. You have to find ways to stand out, stay innovative, and position your art and brand so people can connect with, even if they’re thousands of miles away, from different age groups or cultures. The beauty of art is that it’s universal, but it still needs a touch of creative business mindset to be presented the right way.
People need to understand it, relate to it, and feel connected to it without being in the same room.
The real challenge was combining creativity with strategy and doing both at a high level.
Vendler Tattoo was built on the idea that tattoos are more body art, they become part of a person’s identity, presence, and story.
Vendler Tattoo represents authenticity, and the belief that self expression should be treated like art, not just decoration.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was visiting Scottsdale for a week, I’d show them a mix of nightlife, fitness, and desert experiences. We’d start with hikes like Camelback Mountain, good brunch spots, and exploring Old Town Scottsdale and Fashion Square. At night, definitely rooftop lounges like Outruder, restaurants like Toca Madera, and nightlife spots like Maya or Riot House. I’d also take them on a desert drive or ATV trip to experience Arizona sunsets. What makes Scottsdale special to me is the mix of great weather, ambitious people, fitness culture and nonstop energy.
