Meet Whitley Marshall | Fashion Designer, Editor-in-Chief

We had the good fortune of connecting with Whitley Marshall and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Whitley, every day, we know how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
Artlovelifestyle began as my personal art brand, a space where I could merge my passion for art, love, diverse perspectives, and fashion into a creative platform. From the start, I envisioned expanding it into a magazine that would celebrate these themes while also amplifying voices in sustainability, social justice, and inclusive beauty. The magazine’s table of contents reflects this—divided into Art, Love, Life, and Style—allowing us to explore diverse narratives within each issue.
Each seasonal edition of Artlovelifestyle Magazine is built around themes that reflect the deeper markers of True Beauty: “Beauty Comes in All Shapes and Sizes,” “Diversity Is Beautiful,” “The Beauty of Strength and Resilience,” and “Compassion is Beautiful.” These themes provide a foundation for thought-provoking articles, artist spotlights, and discussions on the intersection of art, culture, and advocacy. Through this work, we highlight underrepresented creatives, promote sustainability, and encourage compassionate leadership.
As my vision grew, I expanded Artlovelifestyle into a sustainable fashion line, Artlovelifestyle Attire. This clothing brand brings my original artwork to life on garments crafted from recycled materials and produced using eco-friendly processes. Sustainability is central to everything we create—each piece is designed to be both an artistic statement and a commitment to reducing waste in the fashion industry. Through this expansion, I aim to inspire people to see fashion as a form of storytelling, activism, and mindful consumption.
Ultimately, Artlovelifestyle is more than a brand—it’s a movement that merges creativity, sustainability, and social impact. Whether through media or fashion, my goal is to build a world where art drives positive change, where beauty is redefined through diversity and ethical practices, and where self-expression can also be a force for good.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Art has always been at the core of everything I do, spanning multiple mediums—from pen and ink drawings to acrylic painting, digital layering, and mixed media. My creativity extends beyond traditional visual art into movement, fashion, and storytelling, shaping an overall artistic lifestyle.
I’ve channeled this passion into Artlovelifestyle Attire, where my original artwork transforms into sustainable fashion. I’ve created multiple collections using recycled fabrics and eco-friendly processes, and I’m thrilled to debut my first swimwear collection at Miami Swim Week on June 1st.
Beyond fashion, dance is another vital part of my artistic expression. As the Director of the Rhythm Rebels Dance Collective, I explore storytelling and personal expression through movement, just as I do with visual art. I also model and coach, helping others step into their confidence and unique creative voices.
My journey hasn’t always been easy, but every challenge has pushed me to expand, evolve, and embrace the full spectrum of my artistry. Whether through fine art, fashion, dance, or mentorship, my goal is to inspire others to live boldly, create fearlessly, and see beauty in all its diverse forms.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend were visiting Miami, I’d want them to experience the perfect mix of nature, culture, and vibrant nightlife. We’d start with a bike ride around Indian Creek, followed by a beach day—since the ocean is our backyard! Giving back is important to me, so we’d also join a VolunteerCleanup.org beach cleanup.
For art and culture, we’d visit the Bass Museum of Art and Vizcaya Museum & Gardens, then explore the Wynwood Walls for incredible street art. We’d also take in the lush beauty of the Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden. As a plant-based eater, I’d take them to my favorite restaurants like PLANTA, Vegan Cuban Cuisine, and Kava Garden for kratom and kava mocktails.
At night, we’d head to Ocean Drive for the energy of South Beach, from live music to rooftop lounges. We’d also experience the heart of Miami’s Latin culture by dancing at Calle Ocho in Little Havana, where the music and energy are unmatched. We’d have to of course take time for shopping at Lincoln Plaza as well. Miami is such a dynamic city, and I love sharing its beauty, creativity, and community with others.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Success is never a solo journey, and I’m incredibly grateful for the people who have supported and encouraged me along the way. First and foremost, I want to recognize my husband, David, who has been my rock throughout this entire process. He has encouraged me at every step, believing in my vision even when I doubted myself. His unwavering support has been instrumental in all my endeavors—as I stepped into the world of Pageantry and fashion, through winning International Mrs USA in 2022, most recently earning the Mrs Elemental USA Water crown, and in turning Artlovelifestyle into the movement it is today.
I also want to give a huge shoutout to my dear friend KC Salter. She knew my vision for starting Artlovelifestyle Magazine from the very beginning and pushed me to take the leap when I needed it most. During one of the most challenging periods of my life—after battling long Covid and struggling to work more than four-hour shifts at the Red Cross without relapsing symptoms —KC’s encouragement helped me shift my mindset and go for it. My doctor wouldn’t approve longer work hours, and I knew I had to pivot. That’s when I made the decision to enroll in a personal training and nutritionist course, and launched Artlovelifestyle Magazine. That moment of redirection was life-changing, and I owe a lot of that to her support.
This journey has also been shaped by the incredible artists, activists, models, and creatives who have shared their stories with Artlovelifestyle. Their passion and resilience continue to inspire me every day. I believe that when we lift each other up, we all rise together—and I’m endlessly grateful to be surrounded by people who embody that spirit.
