Meet Whitney Berger | Fitness Studio Owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Whitney Berger and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Whitney, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
You have to take risks to grow. I’ve always taken risks, following my instincts and dreams. When I decided to open my own Fitness Studio all my loved ones had advised against it and were worried for me. If I had listened and not taken a risk, I would be no where… still working for someone that didn’t fully appreciate me and what I offered.

What should our readers know about your business?
I own a Fitness Studio offering a workout I created called WhitFit HIIT. We also offer Hot Pilates & Yoga.
I’m so excited to be able to share my new workout!
It was not easy. Lots of self doubt, stress in the beginning. Everyone warns you about what could go wrong but never tell you the most important thing… which is to have fun!!!! Enjoy this new beginning, enjoy creating something new.
I want everyone to know they are welcome. Everyone who walks thru our doors. I want to feel like they are can be authentically themselves.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take them to Central Park, then to one of my fav museums, the Neue Museum where Klimt’s Gold Lady is displayed.
Lunch at Sadelles. Dinner at Emilio Ballato, my favorite Italian restaurant.
Brunch at Dim Sum go go for the best dumplings. They have this amazing ginger scallion sauce!
I’d take them to a workout or yoga class at my studio in the lower east side and then to freeman’s for lunch in freeman’s alley, one of my fav hidden places.
Drinks at the new Ritz Carlton nomad, the new Lounge on the top floor has stunning panoramic views of the city.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Gabi Walters who created Inferno Hot Pilates was a big inspiration and someone I learned a tremendous amount from.
