Meet Whitney Talley | Licensed Massage Therapist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Whitney Talley and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Whitney, let’s start by talking about what inspires you?
I’m inspired by change. Especially the kind that transforms lives from the inside out. Seeing someone’s health improve, watching small daily choices add up to life-altering results—that motivates me deeply. I’m also inspired by people’s willingness to show up for themselves, to grow, and to strive to be better. That journey, and the courage it takes, is what fuels me

What should our readers know about your business?
My business, Whitted Affect, is built around the belief that when you elevate your energy, you can transform your life. I specialize in therapeutic massage, healing therapies like Reiki, hot and cold treatments, stretching, and meditation—all designed to help clients feel better, move better, and live better. What sets me apart is that I don’t just offer a service, I create a tailored experience that meets people exactly where they are in their healing journey and helps them get to where they want to be.
I’m most proud of the tangible changes I see in my clients—seeing someone go from pain and limitation to strength and confidence never stops inspiring me.
Getting here wasn’t easy. I started as a mobile therapist, traveling with my table in all kinds of weather, building my clientele from the ground up. There were financial challenges, long hours, and moments where I questioned if I could keep going. But every challenge was an opportunity to get resourceful—learning business skills I never thought I’d need, leaning on my creativity, and trusting the process.
One of my biggest lessons has been that consistency, genuine care, and clear vision will carry you through the hard seasons. Another is that growth happens outside your comfort zone—whether it’s saying yes to new opportunities or investing in a bigger vision for your business.
I want the world to know that my brand is more than massage—it’s about transformation, resilience, and the belief that small, intentional steps can lead to extraordinary change.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend were visiting, I’d want to give them a week that mixes pure fun, delicious food, and the beauty of the outdoors—basically, a little something for every mood. We’d start with places where we could play like kids but drink like adults: Glitch Bar, an arcade that’s conveniently right next to a Kava Bar, and Xtreme Action Park, which has everything—skating, bowling, VR games, Go-Kart racing, you name it. We’d balance that out with nature adventures like kayaking, exploring Treetops Park, taking in the views at Vista View Park, and cooling off at Rapids Water Park.
For food, we’d do a culinary tour: Smith & Webster in Coral Springs for upscale comfort food, South Bar & Kitchen in Pompano Beach for Southern flavor, Voodoo Bayou on Las Olas for bold bites, The Namu in Coral Springs for Korean fusion, and Sovereign in Plantation for something truly unique.
Of course, no trip is complete without beach days—sun, sand, and salty breezes. And at night, we’d head to a local poetry spot, because the creative scene here is incredible. The area is full of talented poets and creative curators, and ending the night surrounded by that energy is unforgettable

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I wouldn’t be where I am today if it weren’t for my family, friends, and clients. My community shares my post and recommends me to people in need. I’m thankful for the feedback that I receive after every service. I’m grateful for the reviews and for platforms like this that give business owners and creatives a place to shine. Thank you
