We had the good fortune of connecting with XAR Entertainment and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi XAR Entertainment, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My thought process behind starting my own business stemmed from a combination of passion, experience, and a desire to create memorable experiences for people. I’ve always enjoyed planning and organizing events—whether it was helping friends and family or coordinating school or community functions. Over time, I realized that not only did I have a natural talent for managing details and bringing people together, but I also truly enjoyed the creative process and the satisfaction of seeing an event come to life.

I also noticed a gap in the market for event services that were both professional and personalized. Many clients want more than just logistics. They want someone who understands their vision, values their input, and can bring fresh, creative ideas to the table. That insight gave me the confidence to turn my skills, knowledge, experience and passion into a business.

Starting my own business allowed me the freedom to build a brand that reflects my values: reliability, creativity, and client-centered service. It’s been both a challenging and incredibly rewarding journey, and it continues to push me to grow personally and professionally.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My name is Roberto “El Lobo” Moreno, and I am a Venezuelan-born percussionist, musical director, producer, and arranger whose journey has been shaped by an unrelenting passion for music and a dedication to innovation. What sets me apart is my ability to merge diverse sounds and rhythms, always exploring new musical languages while maintaining a deep respect for tradition. I’ve had the honor of working with legendary Latin artists, Grammy winners such as Luis Enrique, Tony Succar, Gilberto Santa Rosa, and Servando y Florentino, contributing to over 25 albums and earning multiple Latin Grammy nominations. Releasing my own solo album in 2022 was a milestone that filled me with pride. The path has not been easy—relocating, adjusting to different cultures, and maintaining artistic integrity under pressure were just some of the challenges. However, my resilience, leadership, and love for music helped me overcome them. I want the world to know that my story is one of perseverance and artistry, and that my brand is built on authenticity, versatility, and a relentless pursuit of excellence.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’d make sure they experienced the perfect mix of culture, rhythm and food. On Day 1, we’d kick off in Doral Cultural Art Center, then a coffee and some good live music at Doral Yard. Day 2 would be all about the beach—South Beach, then a stroll through Calle Ocho. On Day 3, I’d take them to Wynwood to explore the arts district and visit Wynwood Walls .Day 4 would be visiting the Frost Museum of Science in the day, and in the night enjoy dinner and the best salsa live music at El Mani Restaurant. On Day 5 and 6 would be all about music—I’d invite them to a local jam session or rehearsal with fellow musicians, then dinner at a Venezuelan spot like El Samán for a taste of home. We’d wrap up Day 7 in Vizcaya Museum walking, people-watching, and having a goodbye brunch at Greenstreet Café. Miami is full of vibrant, creative, passionate people, and I’d want my friend to see the city not just through its landmarks, but through its energy, rhythm, and soul.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
No journey is ever walked alone, and we owe so much of our success to the incredible people and communities who have supported us along the way. We want to dedicate this shoutout to our family, who stood by us through every challenge. I also want to recognize my mentors and fellow musicians in Venezuela who shaped my foundation and work ethic, and who inspired me to push boundaries creatively. A special thanks goes to the artists I’ve had the honor of working with—Servando y Florentino, Luis Enrique, Tony Succar, and Gilberto Santa Rosa—for trusting me with their music and allowing me to grow professionally alongside them. We are especially grateful to the City of Doral for believing in our vision and providing a space where creativity and culture can flourish. A heartfelt thank you to Ibis Bermudez and José Miguel Varela and Alba Prieto for your support, guidance, and belief in my work. I also want to give a special shoutout to all the talented artists who have collaborated with us to help build this business—musicians, dancers, stilt walkers, photographers, face painters, caricaturists, and so many more. Your passion, dedication, and artistry are the heartbeat of everything we do. Every rhythm I play and every event we create is a tribute to the incredible community behind it.
