We had the good fortune of connecting with Yakitori boyz and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Yakitori boyz, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
The thought process behind starting our own business was simply we wanted to create food we were passionate About. Also to bring every type of person together with the form of food. We worked for other people’s dreams and we wanted to fulfill ours.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What sets us apart from others is our unique flair. We love to incorporate parts of our lives into the business and the food. From collaborating with friends to bringing back influences from our childhood.
We are most proud of the feed back and support we’ve received by the community. We are excited about all the up coming pop ups we have planned!
We’ve got to where we are today by working super hard, researching new ideas, staying humble, and supporting people who we think are dope!
We want the world to know that we can bring people together one skewer at a time. We want to create an environment where everyone is welcomed and can be themselves. We express ourselves through food and believe you can see that when you experience it.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Jaguar sun at lot 6- Great atmosphere and drinks
Drinking Pig Bbq – the best bbq in miami
Los fuegos at the Fanea hotel
Kyu miami – must have their fried chicken !
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
We want to thank both our families for allowing us to chase our dreams. Also Raheem Sealey of Drinking pig BBQ for helping inspire us to start our own business.
