Hi YOLANDA, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?
I’m born and raised in Florida to Haitian immigrants. My mother raised me to be aware of my Haitian culture and roots. I’m extremely proud of my roots and it’s the focus point of my segment of my show.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m model, actress, brand ambassador and host of my own segment called Yolanda’s corner which connects young Haitian American to their culture. Interviewing different ones in the community and finding different ways to help our country.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
There’s so much to do in south Florida, that you would definitely need more than a weekend. But, I would say the different fun museum like Selfie museum or Superblue, tons of photos and memories can be made here.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I wish to recognize my mother Clerda Gourdet, She my role model and my shero.. As well my daughter Brigette Raya Clermont, she motivates me. I love the positive people in my life!
