We had the good fortune of connecting with Yolanda Nollie and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Yolanda, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
When I decided to start my own Radio & TV Entertainment Am/Fm Podcast Show, I had a few goals in mind:
1) Use the platform to educate and guide independent entertainers and media influencers on the business side of the entertainment and media industry.
2) Show that it is possible to be successful in the industry and create generational wealth even as a Christian entertainer.
3) Have more control of my own podcast and be able to create content that was creatively fulfilling.
As a female entrepreneur and philanthropist, I am the founder and president of Master Entertainment Workshops Corp 501c3 nonprofit, MasterPrintz Print & Design, and Gigshare.org, as well as a singer-songwriter. With these goals in mind, I have created a platform to provide both entertainment and education to our listeners.
My mission is to bridge the gap between the entertainment and media industry and independent entertainers. Not only do I feature celebrities on the podcast, but also professionals and industry experts who can offer insight into the industry and help create generational wealth.
It’s been an incredible journey so far and I’m excited to continue helping independent entertainers and media influencers reach their goals.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I’m an ambitious female entrepreneur. I have a bachelor’s degree in Fashion Marketing and Design from American Intercontinental University in Atlanta, Georgia. I also have a minor degree in legal studies from City College in Orlando, Florida and I’m almost finished with my associate’s degree in IT Technology from WOZ U – University School of Technology. I’m a multitalented go-getter and I’m passionate about pushing boundaries. I’m an amateur powerlifter and a competitive strongman competitor which displays my resilience and persistence. I also served four years in the Naval military as an E-3. In addition to my athletic pursuits, I’m also a singer and songwriter. That’s not all – I’m also the executive director and executive producer of six companies and two podcasts.
Throughout my journey, I’ve faced many obstacles and struggles but my passion for pushing boundaries, hard work, and dedication have allowed me to overcome them and become the successful businesswoman I am today. My story is an inspiration to many and I’m determined to use my influence for the greater good and make a difference in the world. With each challenge I faced, I’ve learned valuable lessons and I’m most grateful for the experiences that have made me the successful and resilient woman I am today.
I’m a multitalented and unique woman amongst several women. My voice has been described as that of Sarah Voghn, as I’m a fantastic singer and an amazing songwriter. I’m also an embodiment of knowledge, allowing me to function well and multitask in various aspects of life.
My success has been demonstrated in the business world, as I have been effectively managing six companies, and two podcasts, and am a best-selling author of How to Profit in Entertainment Social Media Guide,
I have grown so much and overcome significant challenges to get to where I am today. Life has taught me a lot of lessons and the most valuable is to never give up no matter how hard it gets. I’m so proud of the brand and story that I have built and I want the world to know that it is possible to achieve greatness and success, no matter what.
Taking a risk has allowed me to blaze my trail in entertainment and media.
When I started my radio and TV entertainment podcast show, I personally financed it because I wanted to bring not just celebrities but also professionals and industry experts to the show. I wanted to use the show to educate my listeners and help them create generational wealth.
My risk paid off, and I have since been able to express my creativity and now have control over selecting different co-hosts and topics for the podcast. Additionally, I have been able to achieve success in other ventures, like founding and leading Master Entertainment Workshops Corp 501(c)(3) (awarded the OIFF Humanitarian Award in 2022), Global Award-winning Women leadership winner/Contributive Writer for Brainz Magazine, CXO Outlook Magazine and MasterPrintz Print & Design, as well as Gigshare and a singer-songwriter.
Taking risks has been a rewarding experience for me and has enabled me to make a difference in the entertainment and media industry.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take my best friend Kelley and both of our families to Sixty Vines for a little taste of something different in the food department. Sixty Vines is knowns for its tasty, unique pizzas with toppings like local honey, micro basil, and house-ground sausage. Whatever you eat, you can be sure there’s a perfect wine to pair with it. The restaurant is wine-centric, particularly with a concentration on California wines. There’s a small, intimate patio dining space complete with a fire pit. Connected to the patio is a beautiful greenhouse where you also can dine and have an outdoor feel. Be sure to request one of these spaces when making reservations.
I would definitely take Kelley to SeaWorld in Orlando. Orlando’s SeaWorld is known for its massive aquariums, dolphin, and whale shows, touch pools, and many exciting rides.
There is a plethora of other things to do here, but I would have to say those are my top 2.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to recognize and give a shoutout to the following outstanding people that have made a great impact on my entrepreneurial journey: Bruce Nahin (Business Affairs, Producer, PGA, Television Academy, Chippendales), Comedian Marshell Woodland, Christian SAG-AFTRA Actor Charles D. Clark, Paul Kyriazi (Feature film writer/director), Carlos Coleman (Public Figure Businessman), My lovely daughter Catherine N, Tamika Joy Harris-Russell President of Stars Performing Arts, Board members of Loveseats Nonprofit Organization, Sylvia Hampton of Hampton and Bates, Jordan Rosnar of Scatena & Rosner Films, April Wynn Morrison of April Morrison Productions, Miki and Kal-el Holiday of Holme Film Production Company, Lisa Rodrigo of All My Promotions PR, Emmy Award Winning Actress Tonya Pinkins, SAG-AFTRA Actress Dawn Noel , Katnyp of Detriot First Move Entertainment ECT
