We had the good fortune of connecting with YVONNE COLÓN GEIGEL and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi YVONNE, what are you inspired by?
I’m inspired by authenticity, shared purpose, freedom, joy, and living in the moment. Seeing our common humanity motivates me, as does the journey of overcoming false beliefs, reclaiming self-love, and helping others find their power.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
About my work My work is a space for a need we all have: to be authentic and feel safe. Throughout my career, my focus has been to create a safe space where you can feel comfortable expressing yourself and practicing who you are becoming—as we are here to create ourselves, not to find ourselves. I understand, because I myself needed a space like that.
I’ve blended creativity with compassion over the years. I started in 2003 by founding BTW Inc., also known as the Independent Working Artist Network (IWAN), to support independent artists and young professionals through networking and promotional opportunities. With strong partnerships and a focus on empowerment, IWAN received awards like Master Mind, Best Cultural Provocateur, Best Gallery, Best Promoter of Local Talent, and more—proof that we were making a difference.
By 2014, my focus shifted toward supporting people’s well-being in other ways. I became involved in mental health, addiction support, senior living, and consulting. I brought mindfulness, yoga, and meditation into low-income facilities and created wellness programs for city teams and seniors in Fort Lauderdale.
Over the years, I’ve presented publicly on mindfulness regulation and facilitated support groups for LGBTQ+ individuals, veterans, formerly incarcerated people, and those in recovery. I teach coping skills, coach others on how to guide and support, and help people grow into mentors themselves.
This work gave me the opportunity to help individuals build emotional resilience and personal growth through body–mind training, self-care tools, and coherence techniques like HeartMath heart-focused breathing training.
It wasn’t always easy. Like any meaningful journey, there were challenges—but through humility, dedication, and deep listening, I kept evolving. I learned that creativity and healing go hand in hand, and that small actions often have the biggest impact. It’s about learning to trust that we are safe in the present moment and that we have the power to create.
My story is about empowering others—whether through art, wellness, or shared experience. That’s the heartbeat of my brand: helping people find their voice, reconnect with their purpose, and lift each other up.
I recently became a Neuro Change Solutions global consultant. We aim to inspire and transform businesses and organizations into thriving, cohesive cultures that benefit all stakeholders and positively impact the world. NCS’s vision is a key contributor to a global shift in corporate consciousness, leading to a more collaborative, creative, and coherent business world using science-based tools to support transformation.
I’m in awe of sharing this journey with others!
What do I want people to know about my story? I want people to know that there are always two monks—one with problems, and one who listens. I want people to remind themselves, over and over, that life happens for me, not to me. The universe always loves me, and it always has my back.
And when we’re feeling like life is happening to us and not for us, we stop and tell ourselves, “That’s impossible. How could that be?” Life is always happening for me, not to me. And if I can just hold that truth, I’ll be able to see it—be curious about the journey. Just wait for it… because whatever you’re waiting for is certainly coming.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My shoutout is to the kindness of strangers and the courage to show up for yourself—because when you follow the path, the story unfolds.

To the teachers who never gave up on us. To the parents who gave us the space to safely wander. To the kids who didn’t like us, and the ones who welcomed us.

My shoutout is to the people who take the time to listen and guide with what they know. To the ones who offer a chance to showcase your purpose to the world. To those who hold space so you know you’re not alone. To the souls who send a little happy face, saying “I still remember you.”

Looking back, there are so many shoutouts—too many to name. All I can say is: If you’ve ever met me, or if someday we will…

My shoutout is to us.
