We had the good fortune of connecting with Zenah Khair and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Zenah, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Starting Nexity wasn’t just about launching another marketing agency. It was about fixing what we saw broken in the industry. After years of watching businesses get cookie-cutter content and surface-level strategies, we knew there had to be a better way. The thought process was simple: what if we created an agency that actually showed up, literally and figuratively, for small businesses?

We also frowned upon seeing social media managers being overworked, undervalued, and underpaid. At Nexity, we made it a priority to pay our Marketing Managers what they truly deserve because they are the forefront of our business. They’re the ones showing up, building relationships, and capturing stories that drive results.

We focus on high-quality content, a full on-site experience for clients, and a system that’s easy to follow. No endless emails, no overwhelming platforms, no unnecessary back and forth. Just clarity, creativity, and real results.

We wanted to create a space where both clients and creatives felt supported. Marketing should feel like a partnership, not a hassle, and that’s exactly what we set out to do.

What should our readers know about your business?
Nexity is built on one clear belief: marketing should feel human. We’re not your typical agency—we don’t hide behind dashboards and email threads. We show up in person, build real relationships with our clients, and create content that reflects the heart of their business. What sets us apart is our on-site model and the level of care we bring to every brand we work with.

We’re most proud of the way we’ve been able to grow while staying rooted in our values—quality over quantity, people over vanity metrics, and simplicity over chaos. Was it easy? Definitely not. We’ve had to say no to clients who didn’t align with our mission, push back against industry norms, and build new systems from scratch. But that’s also what makes it worth it.

The biggest lesson? Protect your team and your process. The right structure not only helps you scale, but it protects the quality of your work. Our Marketing Managers are the face of our brand, and we treat them that way—with respect, fair pay, and trust.

If there’s one thing we want the world to know, it’s this: Nexity is about more than marketing. We’re your partners in growth, and we genuinely care about helping you show up in a way that feels real.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was visiting, we’d start with coffee and a bite at Bayti Cafe, then check out some local art and grab tacos at Talkin’ Tacos. Birria is a must. One day would be all about the beach, with a sunset dinner at Sirocco at Dania Pointe for amazing Middle Eastern food and chill vibes.

We’d spend time in the Design District exploring art and window shopping, then head to Little Havana to soak in the culture and music. One night would be a cozy night in, just catching up over takeout.

To wrap it up, I’d take her to a Miami Heat game. Nothing beats that energy. Miami is full of life, and I’d make sure we experienced it all with good food, good people, and moments that actually matter.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First, I have to give a huge shoutout to our team—especially our Marketing Managers. They’re the heart of Nexity. They show up every month on-site, build real relationships with our clients, and pour their creativity into everything they do. None of what we’ve built would be possible without them. My partner in the business as well who from Day 1 took a leap of faith with me to build the agency; couldn’t do this without him.

Lastly, I want to shout out the small business owners who trusted us in the early days when we were just getting started. Their belief in our strategies, people, and systems allowed us to get where we are today.
