We had the good fortune of connecting with Zoey Bullock and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Zoey, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
When I finally took the leap to full time in my business and left the corporate world years ago, I thought balance was something I had to achieve… coming from a life of burnout working long hours in the office. So when I opened my own office not long after quitting my professional career, I would spend all day there, having to spend copious amounts of time away from home, building what I thought was my empire. I sat down to think about what I wanted from being an entrepreneur, and what I truly desired what freedom. I was conditioned to believe working hard meant success, and eventually balance but I didn’t believe fulfillment meant sacrificing my peace. Eventually I learned how to have a different perspective of time, by adapting to the lifestyle that I wanted to create. So I was able to shift my business into alignment with the balance that I envisioned.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I help people heal and embody their true self using holistic modalities, including energy healing, spiritual activations and business consulting. Becoming a healer empowered me with a new level of transformation in my own personal journey. Helping myself to release physical and mental trauma and find clarity in my spiritual purpose. Utilizing natural healing practices, I’ve been able to reclaim my power, both in the physical health form and soul empowerment level. As I faced challenges of old patterns and beliefs, I continued to acquire healing certifications and dive deeper into my work as a healer. The transformations of my clients are not just a physical experience when they feel the energy movement, but they are able to understand themselves on a deeper level and release years, and often decades of stored emotions and traumas.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Personally, I like the North Miami area or what I call Mimo ! The Botancial Garden is a must-see if you enjoy scenic meditations and when I go down to South Beach, I love visiting the quaint yoga studios and Turkish bathhouses with all the saunas and spa amenities.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
The book Spitting Fire by Lauren Lemunyan delivered a pivotal message to me when I needed to reignite my flame, her words encouraged me to share my story and truly stand strong in my journey, both personally and professionally.
