We had the good fortune of connecting with Paola Michelle and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Paola, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I think life itself is a risk that we have all actively taken, otherwise we wouldn’t be here today. There is always a risk to all that you do; a prime example of this is starting my online Yoga & Wellness business. I didn’t always know what would come from it, yet I knew that in order to succeed and build the life I have always wanted, certain risks would have to be taken during the process. At times it has been challenging, but taking risks is what has caused an expansion within my comfort zone. This whole process has allowed me to get closer to my yoga practice by tailoring my preconceived limitations. If there is one powerful thing that my yoga practice has taught me is that in order for growth to happen you have to be vulnerable enough to leap into the unknown.

What should our readers know about your business?
My name is Paola Michelle, I am a registered Yoga and Meditation Teacher, Healer and Spiritual Mentor. I began my spiritual journey nearly seven years ago; Ever since I have decided to make my mark in the world by actively choosing to help those who are also going through their own spiritual journey. I decided to further my education and expand on my expertise by taking my 200 hour Teacher Training and offering more services to those who are open to it. I recently started my online Yoga and Wellness business where I now offer a number of services, these include: online yoga classes, meditation & healing sessions, private readings, guidance and much more. One of my main goals is to help others discover the lost parts of themselves by simply looking within. When we go through a spiritual journey we are essentially accessing higher levels of consciousness. These high levels of consciousness aren’t always linear and they don’t always make sense; this is why during my spiritual journey I realized that I wanted to share my knowledge by holding the space for those who were just starting out. I want to encourage each individual to not be scared to look within. I want my students to stand on their own two feet, to connect, and to realize that we each have the power to create our own reality when we tap into our own inner wisdom.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Let’s say my best-friend was in town and she arrived in the morning, the first thing we would do is start our day off by practicing at Bodhi Yoga. After yoga class we would go to Brewing Buddha Cafe & Arthouse to grab coffee, tea and some food. We would then head over to the beach in Miami and hangout for a while by soaking up the sun. After the beach we would then head to Planta at South Beach where we would have a nice dinner. After dinner we would walk and perhaps stop at the Sugar Factory for some desserts and then call it a night.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There are many people that come to mind when I reflect back on my both my yoga and spiritual journey. During the years I have encountered many wonderful people that have helped shape me into who I am today, however, I want to dedicate this shoutout to BODHI YOGA. This place, this studio, quickly became my home since I decided to do my 200 hour Teacher Training there. A good portion of the teacher I am today is due to Bodhi Yoga. I have learned many wonderful things from this place but there are two important things that were forever instilled in me: love and compassion. I want to thank Bodhi Yoga for being amazing, especially its owner ( Ximena Prelle ) for always being such a wonderful teacher, mentor and human being. Namaste.
