Pivot or Persevere?

To pivot or to persevere? Or more bluntly – to give up or to not to give up? This is a haunting question, a question that has ramifications far after an answer has been chosen and it’s also a question that almost everyone in our community has had to face at one time or another. How do you know when to give up and when to keep trying?
I think imposter syndrome is a normal and common human experience; we have all faced road blocks in our lives, we have all felt discouraged, and we have all had moments where we doubted ourselves and our own capabilities. I think success in anything comes from not only resilience but self reflection. Each obstacle presents itself with the option of growth attached to it. Trouble-shooting a situation, reflecting, and learning from it for the next time; or, reflecting, allowing oneself grace, and finding a different pathway. Read more>>
It’s funny you asked this question. I ask myself every once in a while. It all goes down to that ‘knowing’ that I have in my heart. I know I will reach my goals. I know it will be alright. I know that “this shall pass too.” I know that giving up is not an option. Read more>>
Determining whether to persist or surrender in a pursuit is a deeply personal and evolving decision. This question strikes a chord with me as it encapsulates my journey as a graphic designer.
