In 2022, I was a music educator with MDCPS. I watched in horror as a music organization presented a horribly offensive performance for the students. It took me 24hrs before I realized how deeply offended I was. After spending a great deal of time reflecting on the issue at hand, Lady of Harp Academy was created. The education sector of Lady of Harp was created to provide a safe musical space that centers children of marginalized communities. I respectfully disagree with the conventional notion of adhering to a traditional 9-to-5 work schedule. For an extended period of my life, I was influenced by the belief that pursuing a diploma would guarantee employment in a monotonous and unfulfilling job. This prevailing principle proved to be a significant impediment to my personal growth and creative expression. However, when I observed individuals who shared my passions and found joy in pursuing their interests, it ignited a fire within me, inspiring me to pursue a career in DJing.
