For the past three days, I’ve been at a beautiful waterfront home, house-sitting. The house is welcoming and inviting. If I was to design a home with a perfect setting, this is it! Views of the rising sun, lush tropical landscape giving way to docked and passing boats. My artistic inclination emerged at a very young age, influenced by the creative environment in which I grew up. My father was passionate about photography; he owned professional cameras and a Super 8 film camera with which he documented family moments and collaborated with other photographers. Balance means different things to different people—there’s no universal recipe for work-life balance. For me, balance lives within the work itself. I’m always immersed in some project tied to beverages, whether it’s visible to others or not. But with time, I’ve learned to value my hours more.
