We had the good fortune of connecting with Cindy Thompson Forbes and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Cindy, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
A few months ago, I got married and now I’m balancing work, business and family. Balance is not always easy but it requires consistency and intentionality. I believe balance is very important because it’s the way one can remain focus and productive.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business is called Glory Dancewear, we’re a home based business in the Bahamas and I believe this is what sets us apart from other businesses here. We are centrally located which makes us very accessible. I’m proud that we’re very tenacious and we don’t give up very easily. Running a small business is not easy but it is indeed worth it.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My Island where I live is very small and there’s very limited activities that you can do. The first activity we would do is go out for dinner, I would choose my favorite restaurant which is a place called Twisted Lime, they sell my favorite native dishes, Secondly, I would take them to my church, the movies and to the beach.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to recognize my life Coach, Dr Lorneka Joseph who have been and continue to be a constant in my life.
