We had the good fortune of connecting with Judy Ballesteros and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Judy, how does your business help the community?
Raising awareness about how we relate to ourselves directly impacts how we relate to others. At Mindthy Wellness Community, we provide tools and practices so that people can manage their emotions more healthily and consciously, cultivating universal human qualities such as empathy, compassion, gratitude, kindness, and more. We focus on developing and accompanying organizations because they have a great responsibility and impact on today’s society. For future generations, we spend a large part of our time working, and it is essential to make it valuable. We must feel that we are worthy in any area we perform. In addition, we seek people to cultivate awareness that motivates each one to do their bit to contribute to the planet, from a small action that can make a big difference for humanity, in the forests and oceans, in the future.
In recent months we have been more involved in SDGs to drive organizations to our goals for 2030. We hope that more people join this project as business partners and alliances that add more collective value to our world.

What should our readers know about your business?
Since Mindthy started, something significant has changed in my life. I found my purpose and my motivation. I never thought that my little dream would allow me to connect with fantastic people and with a job that fills my life. Mindthy has helped me to be close to welfare and sustainability projects, in which I am very proud to participate. After these three years, I am sure that many people worldwide are doing their best to improve this world at present and with future generations. Of course, it was a big challenge (and still is); many paradigms exist in companies and our society. But I learned that working with entrepreneurs from different specialties and making a more extensive business ecosystem is essential worldwide. I feel honored that Mindthy is part of my personal development because if we cannot manage and develop our interior, all other dimensions will be affected. Leadership begins with oneself, and whatever the goal we want to achieve, it is first cultivated in one and then expands to everyone and everything we want to accomplish with a more metaphysical and sustainable purpose.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I always invited people to be open-minded. Having the opportunity to be in another city is a range of possibilities because every person who crosses you can be a beautiful gift in your life. So in a coffee shop, in the bank, in the street you can meet someone (I had terrific talks with “strangers” in my trips). I love water, so of course, part of that week will be going to the beach, walking in the sand, practice some grounding with them. Something that I also enjoy is meditating in the ocean; sometimes, we feel full of worries, stress and etc. And give us a moment to pause with that fantastic blue ocean, helps us to let it go. I like the coffee from Panther in Wynwood and also play paddel tennis.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Many people, backgrounds, and tools have helped me become the person I am and pushed me to do what I am doing now. I feel very grateful for all the things that happened in my past. And to be honest, Life is interconnected, so each person and each moment is essential.

But if I make a quick list, I am lucky because I had the opportunity to grow up in a family that loves me. My grandmother is the most beautiful soul I have ever met; she is my best example of how love can change everyone’s Life, and loving unconditionally without expectations is the most valuable gift someone can receive. She only gives what she has in her heart, and it’s exceptional!… Also, I am grateful for all the experiences that showed me what I want and don’t want in my Life. Each experience has nurtured my knowledge and how I relate to each moment. I met beautiful people on my journey who gave me different tips and mentorships. So, I want to dedicate this greeting to Life and everyone who was and is in my Life.
