We had the good fortune of connecting with Cheer Chatter and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Cheer, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
We wanted to be the voice of cheer for the South Florida area. Like football and basketball, cheerleading is a popular sport and should be showcased and spotlighted. We want to bring awareness to the wonderful world of cheerleading and promote safety and sportsmanship.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
We are four working mothers who love all things cheer. We all work in Education and collectively have over 20 years experience working with students K-12 and beyond.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We would take you to Fort Lauderdale beach, Xtreme go-carting in Fort Lauderdale, G-Five Adult entertainment in Miami, Dillard Museum in Fort Lauderdale, Smitty’s in Fort Lauderdale, The African American Research Library in Fort Lauderdale, VooDoo Bayou in West Palm Beach, and Sawgrass Mall in Sunrise, Fl.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
We want to shouout ourselves, Shequesta, Kamesha, Nyecha, and Sadae. We are all proud cheer alums and love giving back to each other and the sport of cheerleading through coaching, mentorships, camps, podcasting, and showcasing cheer talents in the South Florida area.
