We had the good fortune of connecting with Stephane Elias and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Stephane, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
When I started my company, I was working as an office manager at a multi-specialty clinic in the Little Haiti/Little River area of Miami, FL called the Center for Haitian Studies, Health & Human Services, Inc. During that time, former President Barack Obama had passed the Affordable Care Act. In the clinical setting that I worked, we were making adjustments to our inner systems in order to be in compliance with Federal standards. One of the adjustments required us to transition from paper charting to electronic charting. I took the lead on that initiative. I had to research an EMR/EHR system, present it to our Board of Directors, implement this new software and train both our clinical and non-clinical staff on how to use it. From that experience, the idea of E-nnovative Health began. It all began with me recognizing a void within the healthcare industry that needed to be filled. Then coming up with a solution to that problem.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Currently, I serve as the Founder/CEO of E-nnovative Health: a digital health firm that focuses on improving patient engagement and customer satisfaction by investing in digital tools and developing strategies that bridge the gap between what patients demand and what providers deliver. Our services include Technology-Enabled Care (TEC), Digital Therapeutics, mHealth App Development, Healthcare Website Design and Digital Health Training. In addition, I’m a Managing Partner/Public Adjuster – All Lines with Avila Public Adjusting Group: a dedicated, client-focused public adjusting firm that helps policyholders and assignees resolve disputes against insurance companies. We guide policyholders past the frustration caused by insurance companies that delay, deny and underpay claims. Full recovery is what insurance companies promise and we enforce that promise. With regards to my journey as an entrepreneur, it hasn’t been easy. Then again, I was taught at a very young age that nothing worthwhile in life comes easy and that you have to work hard for what you want. Therefore I’ve always had this hustle mentality where I’ve done whatever is necessary in order to accomplish my goals. That mindset has gotten me far in life. Business and entrepreneurship is not for everybody. It can be cutthroat therefore you have to learn the game and be strategic in your approach. Through education, research, surrounding yourself around the right people and building your network, you’ll be ahead of the game and place yourself in the best position to make the right choices. Lastly, you have to be determined, disciplined and dedicated to be the best that you can be in all capacities. Personal and professional growth go hand in hand. You must seek to have balance between the two. For it is within that balance, you will accomplish success.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First and foremost, I have to thank God. If it weren’t for my faith in him, I wouldn’t be where I’m at today. Secondly, I have to thank my loving parents, Marc and Edwige Elias, If it weren’t for their love, sacrifice, guidance and continuous support, I wouldn’t be the man that I am today. In addition, I have to thank my extended family: the Munnilal family. (Jonathan, Sammy, Mom & Pops, Uncle Paul, Auntie Sim, Rash and the whole fam). They have always been there for me, loved me and supported me as if I were their own. For that, I am truly blessed and eternally grateful. Lastly, I want to thank my brothers, Alan, Seth, Rudy, Karl, Adam, the brothers of the Elite-5000 and my mentors Ann-Marie Sorrell, Sophia Nelson, Bruce Lewis, etc. I love you all and I couldn’t imagine going through this journey called life without you in it. Therefore I dedicate this Shoutout to y’all.
