We had the good fortune of connecting with Laura Pucker and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Laura, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I started my own business out of necessity. I was at my dream job and unfortunately there was unethical activity and I had to leave. When I left, the next day I started my own business focusing on brand activation events. My company has evolved but that was how I started.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

I now provide marketing and events consulting, social media management, content creation, and produce/consult on special custom projects. I had a lot of bumps in the road figuring out what was legit and not legit. Had some good deals and bad deals due to my original inexperience. By 2019/2020 my firm was doing well, COVID hit and I lost every client but 1 client. Since then I have been rebuilding. Focusing on the positive, working on manifestation, and relying on good friends and colleagues for referrals.

The best part is I have friends and became part of a community of females that truly help each other, cheer you on, happy for your success, and help in each other’s businesses.

Biggest lesson is, Don’t Stop, Keep working hard and the universe will provide. Make sure to be kind to people as well. This will provide you with a good heart.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

I live in downtown Delray Beach, Florida!

So I would take her to the beach to take in some of the sun but we would paddle board one day, the next day join in a game of volleyball, and then go to happy hour on The Avenue (Atlantic Ave, Delray Beach) such as El Camino, Salt7, and Hampton Social.

We would also go see the drag show at OUR HOUSE in Miami, one day go on a yacht cruise in Fort Lauderdale, and then head over to YaMas on Las Olas for dinner.

Last but not least head over to Miami Swim Week to see the latest and greatest in swim wear, go to the Versace Mansion afterwards for a night cap!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
So, when I started my business, I met Jill Zarin from Real Housewives of New York. Her Ladies Luncheon in the Hamptons, my first activation event, was what launched Beauty Bar Events. She gave me a chance and literally only met me 1 time. Grateful for the opportunity. From there my business has evolved into social media marketing, influencer marketing, and PR. She introduced me to several people, brands, and opened up doors for me with her community. Thank you so much for that!
