We had the good fortune of connecting with GiGi Diaz and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi GiGi, other than deciding to work for yourself, what else do you think played a pivotal role in your story?
Without a doubt, the single most important decision I’ve made that has directly contributed to my success is continuing to focus on my personal growth. Often times us entrepreneurs tend to focus on the business above all. The marketing, the brand, the strategy. But we forget that none of that matters if the person executing – the business owner- isn’t well. Our businesses are a reflection of us. If we want the business to grow, we need to be growing. If we want the business to attract the right clients, we need to be attaching the right people too. This is why in my coaching business, Seizing Happy®, we nurture the business and the woman behind the business equally™

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Seizing Happy® is a business coaching organization dedicated to helping women entrepreneurs achieve Success with Less Stress™. We teach our clients how to achieve their big money and impact goals without the overwhelm. Our 8-week launch program, Unleash Your Inner CEO covers everything from social media, content creation, email marketing and other key pillars for business growth without scary tech or ad spend.

We believe in a 360 approach to entrepreneurship and this is what sets us apart from other business coaches. We believe the entrepreneur needs as much support as the business. We nurture the business and the woman behind the business equally.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Miami is such a beautiful and delicious city. We’d start with a cafe con leche and pan de miga at Buenos Aire la Bakery in Miami Beach before hitting the sand for some ocean time. Then lunch would be at Phuc Yeah for delicious pho and oysters. A nap and a shower before heading to Lagniappe for wine, cheese and live jazz then off to Cote Korean Steakhouse for dinner.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
