We had the good fortune of connecting with Carin Hunt and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Carin, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
With over a decade of event industry education and experience, I was often called upon for business advice from fellow entrepreneurs and corporations. After some time, I decided to create a space within my wedding planning business where other industry pros could feel seen, grow professionally, and gain access to lucrative opportunities. Towards the end of my time as a planner, I felt called to work with entrepreneurs and was introduced to the world of coaching. After hiring my own coach, I paired my knowledge and experience to serve others, and Celebration Pros was launched.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Celebration Pros is a space that empowers creative entrepreneurs – most often wedding pros – to build businesses worth celebrating through low-cost marketing techniques and powerful connections. When working one-on-one with CEOs, I apply Champagne Logic to map out their success. We pop the bottle off their business and get real about where they are at, and what the big vision for the company. Then we get into the fizzy details: What’s working and what needs improvement, where can delegate or eliminate tasks, and what resources can be implemented to support their success? Finally, we clink glasses with other like-minded pros and make valuable connections as we reintroduce their brand back into the industry!
Celebration Pros was formed to offer the support I wish I had as a wedding professional. Our services include social media management, virtual & in-person educational events, one-on-one and group coaching, and the Celebration Pro Podcast.
While building a business is not for the faint of heart, it doesn’t have to feel stressful, confusing, or lonely. Because I’ve taken the same steps that I teach, following the vision for Celebration Pros has been a clear path.
My best advice is to keep taking action on the things that move you forward. Gain clarity around the things that move you closer to your goals. If you feel stuck, it’s likely because you lost sight of your mission.
If you’re reading this (and if you’re anything like me when I first started) feeling like you wish you could feel less alone and more supported, I urge you to reach out to a mentor or group within your industry or niche. It’s incredibly powerful to have someone in your life who understands how to encourage you as an entrepreneur. The mission of Celebration Pros is to spark empowerment, celebration, illumination, confidence, and connection to level up the wedding industry as a whole.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
The people in our lives give us opportunities. Every day we have the choice to take action based upon something or someone that has influenced us. I would like to preface that there are hundreds of persons who have influenced my story. I’m going to tell you about one in particular who changed the course of my life from a very early age. I’ve said this so many times, that my very best friend, Kimberly, knows me better than I know myself. And how lucky that I’ve had her influence my entire life. When I felt like I was the odd one out, she’d remind me how a unique perspective was inspiring., how life against the grain could be more interesting. She was the one who recognized my passion for planning and creating, and she gets the credit for the trajectory into hospitality. Thank you Kimie, love you always & forever,
