Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
ILLUMINATING COLOR is a holistic healing sanctuary and interdisciplinary mystery school that focuses on the healing upliftment and empowerment of people of color. We primarily focus on connecting people of color with the indigenous people of the Andes in the Amazon jungle. As well as learning the philosophy and history of ancient African and indigenous culture. I am really proud of the willingness & the readiness of more people of color to travel to the sacred valley of the Incas Peru to embark on this magnificent Journey into themselves, while we explore the land.

No it was definitely not easy. I overcame a lot of challenges with patience, determination, kindness, drive and consistency. Some lessons I have learned along the way are always be consistent with your creations, Pour your most biggest and grandest imaginations into your business. Don’t let anyone tell you what you can or can’t do with your business. Continue pursuing the passions you love to cultivate your drive for your business.

My name is Akojaiye Ausar, I am the founder of ILLUMINATING COLOR, I am a mycologists, herbalist, historian and a Certified sacred plant facilitator. I have been traveling and living in Peru for the last seven years. I have learned from the Matsigenka, Qero, Quechua, indigenous Nations from the Amazon jungle and the Andes mountain.
I have been studying Ancient African history & culture for the last seven years from the African American scholarly elders in the U.S. & and has become very traversed in specifically The Nile Valley foundations of culture and civilization”

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I usually bring people to abundant amounts of nature, so I would love to bring people to the mountains, jungles, parks, rivers, lakes, waterfalls and beaches around where I live
