We had the good fortune of connecting with Kevin Eligwe and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kevin, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
To create more value through designs that focus on reinforcing vital meaning and positivity.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Hemcloth is a clothing company, and our goal is creating timeless culture that will identify with people who are ambitious, driven, focused and interested in making the world a better place. We started the business 3 years ago with little to no knowledge but a lot of passion and determination. Over the years, we have faced all possible challenges, from inventory to production to marketing – but we overcome every problem the same way, by getting to work. Business has taught us one vital lesson that can be applied in almost every situation… when you hit a roadblock, put your head down and work OR get someone who knows what to do , do not waste time in the moment, think fast and resolve the problem. In the long run, our goal is to empower young and old people with positively designed products that inspire them to do better.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend came in town on: Monday, i would take them to the beach on their first day to relax, enjoy jet skis and drinks on the beach. Tuesday we would get on a boat tour of miami and fort lauderdale to explore the architectural excellence in south Florida. Wednesday we will go downtown to see the malls, shop for some new gear and explore new eateries in the city like “Coyo taco” . On Thursday we would go karting and explore indoor sports at arcade centers… then on Friday night we hit the bars and lounges for the south Florida night life experience. Saturday morning we will get breakfast on the water in boca raton, visit museums, gardens, and the safari. Sunday we will drive up north to the tracks to watch horse races and then visit an actual racing track to drive our cars at no limit.. and that will conclude a successful south Florida trip

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Shoutout to Michael Ospina, my business partner and friend. He deserves as much credit as I do for his contribution to getting our business out of our minds and into people homes. We both have a vision to unify cultures through designs, but his diverse background has been instrumental in balancing all the differences and similarities.
