Meet Alex Miller | Weightlifter and bodybuilder

We had the good fortune of connecting with Alex Miller and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Alex, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Getting into weightlifting, I could never get enough protein in, and when I was looking for protein powder, it was expensive and didn’t have enough nutrients in it. After my workouts I was dehydrated but needing to get my protein in, this would have me drinking water or a sports beverage and then my protein powder; even then I would still have to take other supplements to add all into one to be able to reach my max potential. I decided to take it into my own hands and make a protein powder for all gym goers that has all the supplements you need in it.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business is Locked In, and we sell protein powder, supplements, and fitness wear to wear in or out of the gym. When I go to the gym or lift weights with friends and they ask me for some of my protein powder or how my business is doing, that makes me proud; to know that my community and social circle are invested in my and appreciate my products. To get to where I’m at today, it took a lot of effort and planning, along with hard work and a lot of discipline; whether it was designing the website, looking at flavoring, or promoting it. For me, it was not so easy, to overcome the challenges whether with my business or weightlifting, it took a bunch of patience and to listen; to listen for advice at all times, whether to get over a plateau or to get over low sales; to listen to my body and to listen to my audience and customers. I’ve learned that to grow, no matter what aspect in life, you have to slow down sometimes and look at things; whether you’re looking at a test, a question, a barbell, or managing a business. One thing I would like the whole world to know is that no matter how hard it is or how tough it is, your dreams can be achieved through enough dedication and discipline, as long as you are willing to work
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would probably take them to go to the gym here, then afterwards we would go to the tropical smoothie and get a shake; eventually going to a park or on a hike and enjoying nature, then going home and rewinding with a protein shake.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My best friend, Jamie crews, he’s been there with me through thick and thin; supporting me through weightlifting, bodybuilding, school, my business, and every aspect of life. Without him, I wouldn’t be able to be the person I am today,
