Meet Marie Rodrigues | Executive Chef | CEO at MR Gastronomic Consultancy Services

We had the good fortune of connecting with Marie Rodrigues and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Marie, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Stop working like a horse for big companies and start something healthier mentally, physically and socially.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Nowadays I work with gastronomic events, consultant and as instructor about food. MR was born with a big wish to change the food industry, to treat the food, the clients, the employees with respect. And that’s how it goes. No more slavery, no more low quality services. MR is made to feed souls. Everyday I go to work willing to inspire someone. With my food, some kindness, jokes, treatment, teaching or learning. That’s my jam.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Contact with the Nature is always a way to go. Long walks at the sea shore, hiking, skiing. Connecting with nature is connecting with your inner self. Comfort food is always a good idea too. I love to go to NYC and eat pastrami at Katz, some pizza at Roberta’s or gravy fries at Paul’s da joint burger. Go to broadway watch a new show. Or spend some time at cloisters museum (enjoy the view!!)

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to credit first of all my parents, for supporting my career. My beloved Husband for being my biggest fan and helper. We dream together since the first met. But I really want to thank those people who were cheering and conspiring against me. Those people were a BIG inspiration. They have pushed me up for being a better person and overcoming all the struggles with a smile on my face. They deserve a toast for being assholes (can I write this word at this article?lol)
