Meet Sam Ghanem | CEO & Creative Lead

We had the good fortune of connecting with Sam Ghanem and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sam, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
My family is originally from Lebanon with my eldest sisters, all born in Sierra Leone West Africa. My parents and siblings immigrated here in the early 80s.
As a young child, growing up in South Florida with so much western influence, I used to think that since I was born here in the states I was somehow different from them; I felt disconnected at times and often culturally misunderstood.
After many years of various studies, engaging in a variety of different groups, embarking on my business journey I feel seen.
Keeping my large social circle filled with diversity and inclusion, I’ve grown to recognize that where my family is from has everything to do with who I am today.
I am so proud to embrace the warmth, the hunger, the drive that fuels many families, specifically those that immigrate to the US; transcending space and time to achieve their dreams with grit & focus for the betterment of their families and loved ones.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My journey in Manufacturing & Printing began at 19; I literally fell into the industry out of the necessity to work as a result of embarking upon my independence at the age of 16. I quickly climbed the ranks becoming VP at 25 and Executive VP at the age of 33. I was blessed to work alongside engineers & manufacturing experts with an imprint on planes, trains & automobiles. My curiosity was peaked and my love for creating born.
In 2018, through a few promotional events I was involved in, I learned the power of print when it came to curating a tangible experience, thus SG INK was born.
SG INK is a true printing + branding powerhouse!

As the CEO & Creative Lead of SG INK, I know our Network is our Networth & I will forever be indebted to our network which now includes Shoutout Miami!!!
We take a holistic approach & have a true interest in your business & the continuous growth of your brand.
From strategy sessions, coaching & consulting to a real-life focus group. we show up for you in every way!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
So many places! We would likely start the day with a Nature Walk either in Markham Park in Miami or even in the parked tucked away behind Spanish River Library! If time allowed, we would find time for Rainbow or Ginny springs!
I’d get a partner workout in at one of my sweaty gems! Say Tribe or Gravity + Oxygen, even the Yoga Joint, especially the Fit 45 class!!
Being a foodie, I’d say local to Boca Kixi Cafe, in Broward Santiago’s Bodega & in Miami Motek! And for sure the Thyme Machine food truck for a snack that will take us right back home to Lebanon.
We would absolutely catch a live performance! Stand up comedy at the Sadman Comedy Cafe in Boca Raton or any of the theatre at the Adrienne Arsht Center!
The BEACH is a no brainer, sunrise / sunset or any time of day really! A walk along the boardwalk for sure!
I’m a huge dancer so downtown Ft. Lauderdale / Miami for sure! A day time pool party is almost always a possibility primarily for some nostalgia!
Some hidden gems that I love are Bond Street Ale & Coffee in Boynton or The Dancing Elephant Bookstore in Lake Worth & Apt 9F in Ft. Lauderdale.
If you need to get some work done the Flamingo house in Boca Raton is a no-brainer!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to thank Kate Pietro for the Shoutout that got me here, thank you! Atomic Habits by James Clear & the 75 Hard Challange & David Goggins have really supported me, primarily this year, and I owe so much of my clarity & habit stacking to. Life & business are challenging & at times you feel anything but ease; these two incredible gentlemen have disrupted the wellness space and for that I’m grateful.
I’m not sure it’s appropriate but someone has to crush on these two amazing men & I’m very much here for it!
It would be a massive disservice to not shout gratitude from the mountain tops for my mother & my big sister Gen; their unwavering support & Gen’s complete belief & investment in me are the reason I stand as tall as I do.
I could never have achieved or even remotely even dreamt of the life I have without these two powerhouse women.
Melissa Crescente- the soundest person on the team.
Thank you, x infinity, for paving the way for me to realize, that in life, boxes were made to be broken & ceilings made to be crushed.
