Meet Leah Egipciaco | Real Estate Agent and Entrepreneur

We had the good fortune of connecting with Leah Egipciaco and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Leah, what’s your definition for success?
Success to me isn’t having designer clothes and fancy cars. I would define success as having the freedom to do what you please on any given day. Success is waking up in the morning and not having to work a 9-5 but making memories instead. It’s living in your dream house with the people you love. Success is making the world a better place for your family and community.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a real estate agent in Miami with a special interest in real estate investment and property flipping. Licensed since 2021, I service Miami and the Florida Keys for buying and selling. What sets me apart from other real estate agents in Miami is that I furthered my education by earning a BBA in Real Estate from Florida International University. I studied real estate finance, investment, business administration, and even international real estate. While it is easy enough to get licensed as a real estate agent, it can be challenging to study for a bachelor’s degree while also being an active real estate agent, but it is not impossible.

One of the main challenges I have faced as a younger agent is clients doubting my ability due to my age. Most clients assume that veteran agents are the most knowledgeable. However, the market is always evolving, and age doesn’t always equal knowledge. I have learned to not lose faith in myself because of others’ doubts. They just can’t see the bigger picture yet and it only pushes me to work harder.

I especially love helping women achieve their homeownership and investment dreams. Whether you are a stay-at-home mom or a single mom, you deserve to be a homeowner! Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If I had a friend visiting the area, I would take them to the Florida Keys. There is no place like the Florida Keys. In my opinion, the energy and the food are superior to Miami Beach. Miami Beach is for the tourists. The Florida Keys feels secluded and calming. I specifically love Sombrero Beach in Marathon. It is the only beach I have been to where manatees swim right by you. You are surrounded by wildlife and it reminds you what Florida is all about. It reminds you of the true beauty of Florida.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I wouldn’t be where I am now without the help of my family. Everything I do, I do for them. To make them proud. Their support throughout the years has pushed me to always be my best self. I hope to inspire little girls and boys, like my siblings, to be all they can be, just as my family has done for me. To my family members who have acted as mentors to me in my business, thank you for all the years of unwavering support. Thank you for all the years of listening to my ideas and giving me advice. I couldn’t have done it without you.
