We had the good fortune of connecting with Daniel Bell and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Daniel, we’d love to hear more about your end-goal, professionally.
As far as The Witty Wealth Workshop is concerned, the dream is to become the go-to financial resource for families, business owners, and individuals to educate themselves, the people they care about, and their teams. I want it to become a household name, where everyone in the US, eventually maybe even in other countries, can join with the click of a button, and listen to people who genuinely want to put them in a better financial position. A workshop that companies, communities, organizations, etc can invite into their offices to educate their members/teams. Not a sales call, not shoving one particular method down someone’s throat, and as much as possible without bias towards all the financial tools that are out there to help people. The financial world, both in financial planning and in other fields, unfortunately, is littered with people who don’t really want to put people first or who are well-intentioned but simply aren’t educated on the other options that exist and are therefore against them since they don’t understand them. Not only do I want The Witty Wealth Workshop to be a resource for people’s financial planning literacy but their financial literacy as a whole! That includes estate planning, credit, mortgages, real estate, health insurance, home insurance, taxes, and the list goes on. Furthermore, I want it to be a place where people can learn about their business finances, their financial statements, lending options, business taxes, and so on and so forth! I want this to become a holistic workshop that people can engage in, learn, ask questions, and make connections with reliable, trustworthy professionals who when the time comes, can help them in the best ways possible.
What should our readers know about your business?
I would say there are a few things that set The Witty Wealth Workshop apart from all the other workshops. First, the diversity of speakers. It’s not just me talking about financial planning, it’s quality professionals who genuinely care about people and helping others from all the other veins of personal or business finance. Mortgages, real estate, taxes, estate planning, insurance, etc! Another thing would be the quality of the guest speakers, I meet with each of the guest speakers, qualify them, ask them questions, get to know them, and really see what kind of people they are and how they treat people. It’s also via Zoom, so we have people hop on from all over the US. We’re a free workshop and also are focused on education, it’s not a sales pitch for our services, we actually want people to truly grow their financial education in regard to the different topics that are covered as well as give the audience an opportunity to ask questions.
I would say I’m most proud of the phenomenal response I’ve gotten from the community in support of the workshop, people freely giving testimonials, sharing through social media, and just highlighting how we’re making a difference! It definitely wasn’t easy, lots of prep goes into each workshop between marketing, prepping presentations, slides, sending out reminders, organizing guest speakers, innovating different ideas to create an even better workshop, finding ways to connect with more people. I would say one challenge we’ve been steadily getting past is creating a more automatic audience, by that I mean a group that joins our emailing/text lists so that I can eventually start to count on a consistent turnout without the pressure of a huge amount of marketing. Still fine-tuning it, but definitely seeing some results from the changes!
One lesson I’ve learned is the value of asking for support and getting feedback from people. It’s incredible how much you can learn by just asking people to give you some honest ideas on ways perhaps you could improve different things you have going on!
The main thing I’d want everyone to know is that our mission is to educate on finance and motivate toward improvement. We’re here to make a difference through helping people understand the financial world and take action steps toward improving themselves and by doing so we’ll indirectly have a massive impact on the community and as we grow on even a larger scale! If you want to educate yourself, your family, or your business on anything personal or business finance related, this is the place to be.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would say, and of course, it depends on the person, but I think a bit of snorkeling in South Florida is a must! Most likely would explore some spots in West Palm, Boynton, or Fort Lauderdale for that. Get some pickleball in perhaps at some of the different courts around. Food could vary but a couple of Mexican spots are always hard to go wrong with!
I would say for myself personally I love everything outdoors, so fishing, snorkeling, diving, boating, reptile hunting, sports, etc. Florida in all of those is basically world-class, whether it be the Everglades, the beaches, the pickleball community, or other outdoor activities. Also depending on the time of year different things pop up that are pretty amazing to see too so it all varies!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would say the biggest contributors to my success have been God, family, and friends, despite how cliche that may sound lol! I’m a Christian myself, have been for over a decade now, and just know that if it wasn’t for finally realizing what the purpose of life is, why things are the way they are, really why I’m alive today and what my purpose is then I know the workshop, the financial planning, none of that would have happened. So at the end of the day, it’s my relationship with God, with Jesus being at the center of it all is the biggest reason I’m where I am today and have been able to connect with the people I’ve been able to connect with and help. Then of course my family for the support, though they don’t necessarily totally understand why so much has to go into building a business with the different sacrifices, but in spite of that lack of understanding they were always willing to support and still are. Last but definitely not least are all the friends I’ve made along the way, just such incredible people who are like-minded and want to see how they can make a difference. Without the opportunities to collaborate with these individuals I know I would definitely be much further behind if even in business at all today!
