Hi Mercedes, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?
I was born and raised in Venezuela, with family roots in both Spain and Portugal. My heritage has played a profound role in shaping the person I am today. Growing up, I learned the value of hard work, resilience, and the belief that anything is achievable with focus and perseverance. These lessons, taught by my immigrant parents, have influenced every aspect of my life from my drive and determination to my natural ability to stay organized, both personally and professionally.

My deep appreciation for European culture has also shaped my career in real estate. It has helped me build strong connections with people from different backgrounds and navigate cultural nuances with ease.

Before transitioning to real estate, I spent 18 years in Tourism Administration, where I honed my skills in customer relations. This experience taught me the importance of building trust and making people feel comfortable, a crucial part of my current work in real estate.

As a mother of two and a devoted wife, I bring a strong sense of responsibility and balance to my professional life. My family values, empathy, integrity, and commitment are central to the way I approach my work. These values have not only guided my personal life but have also helped me build a solid reputation in my professional life, earning the trust and respect of my clients. Whether I’m helping a client find their dream home or guiding them through the buying or selling process, I do so with the same dedication and tireless work ethic that my parents instilled in me.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Having spent nine years in the United States, I am deeply grateful for the opportunities this journey has brought into my life and am truly excited for what lies ahead. For several years, I devoted myself entirely to being a stay-at-home mom, raising my children, and supporting my husband. Now, I am embracing a new chapter by returning to professional life and diving into an exciting career in real estate.

Real estate represents an entirely new path for me, and while it’s a fresh start, I am confident in my ability to succeed. I want to share a powerful message: resilience and perseverance can help you overcome any challenge. My life was profoundly impacted by the loss of my father a painful turning point that forced me to step into a leadership role and navigate unexpected responsibilities. That experience taught me strength, determination, and the importance of embracing change.

Amidst these challenges, I met my husband, became the proud mother of two beautiful children, and made the bold decision to build a new life in a foreign country. Each of these experiences has shaped who I am today. They’ve fueled my passion for creating a meaningful future and inspired my drive to help others find their own sense of belonging whether through a home, a community, or an opportunity.

In real estate, I aim to bring a personal touch to every interaction, ensuring that my clients see me not only as a professional but also as someone who understands the emotional and practical sides of life’s transitions. The most important lesson I’ve learned is adaptability. The real estate market is constantly evolving due to economic factors, interest rates, and shifting buyer preferences. Success requires continuous learning, creative problem-solving, and a flexible approach.

When people see my name or my photo, I hope they recognize a story of perseverance, authenticity, and trust. My goal is to build a personal brand that becomes a reliable and relatable guide in their search for properties. Real estate is more than a career for me, it’s a way to connect with people, make a difference, and create a legacy of impact and fulfillment.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Miami is a fascinating place, full of energy and a unique mix of culture, sunshine, and fun. It’s a dream destination for many and as a resident, I have a privileged perspective to show the best of the city to my friends and visitors! There’s something for everyone to enjoy in South Florida, from tranquil escapes to exhilarating adventures and rich cultural experiences. This vibrant region truly has it all!

We’d start the day early at South Pointe Park in Miami Beach, where we can catch a breathtaking sunrise over the ocean and the Miami skyline. It’s a peaceful spot to relax and enjoy the beauty of the morning. Afterward, we’d head to La Ventana, a charming Colombian restaurant in Miami Beach that’s known for its delicious menu and warm, welcoming atmosphere perfect for a hearty breakfast.

Next, we’d make our way to the Shops at Merrick Park in Coral Gables for some retail therapy. This upscale outdoor shopping center is filled with luxury boutiques and unique stores, and the beautiful, tree-lined walkways create a perfect setting for a leisurely stroll.

To wrap up our day in style, we’d embark on a scenic drive down to Key West for a weekend getaway. The Florida Keys are absolutely stunning, with their crystal clear waters and tropical landscapes. We might even try scuba diving to explore the vibrant underwater world. After a day full of adventure, we’d unwind by watching one of the most incredible sunsets in the country. Dinner at Sunset Pier at the Ocean Key Resort & Spa would be the perfect way to end the day. Highly rated on TripAdvisor, it offers fantastic seafood and an unbeatable view of the sun setting over the Gulf of Mexico an experience that’s truly unforgettable.

I would like to dedicate this recognition to two incredible and resilient women who have been my unwavering pillars of support. First, to my mother despite the distance, she has always been there for me, offering wise counsel and guiding me through every step of my journey with her insight and love.
Next, to my sister, whose entrepreneurial journey in Spain continues to be a source of constant inspiration. Her achievements fuel my own drive, reminding me every day of the power of determination and vision.
And last but not least, my children and my husband.Without them, none of this would be possible. They are my heart, my engine, and my constant source of strength. Their love, encouragement, and belief in me inspire me to keep pushing forward, to reach new heights, and to always be my best self. Every achievement I reach is a reflection of their unwavering support and love.
