We had the good fortune of connecting with Luis Andrade and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Luis, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Initially, my only reason to start a business was to give people around me, that I care for an honest way to make money; something they could be proud of. Unfortunately, it’s hard for some people to invest their time into something that isn’t giving them a return right away, so I ended up taking on all roles and learned a lot. Things I expected others to do, I became a perfectionist at. I did it my way and now I’m too invested to let things be done any other way.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Without putting anyone down or taking away from whatever everyone else is doing, there’s a few things that sets us apart from other clothing brands. We don’t follow trends, color coordinate our drops to match sneaker releases, or follow anything popular. If everyone’s going left, I’m going right. I believe the main thing that sets us apart though, is our story and authenticity.

Was it easy? No and still isn’t. I don’t know anyone, personally that’s done what I’ve done. You can’t ask people for directions that don’t even believe where you’re going exists. You know what they told me? Get a job; now they ask if I’m hiring.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m really a homebody but if my family’s in town, we’re going to El Chalan on the Beach to eat and Dante’s HiFi in Wynwood for a vibe. There’s some other places I might go to, depending on my mood but these are 2 I often go to.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
All praises due to the most high. Without god there wouldn’t be anyone to shoutout… but there is god, so shoutout to god again and everyone’s that’s showed love; family, friends, customers, etc… all supporters, thank you!
