We had the good fortune of connecting with LeeAnn Brissett and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi LeeAnn, what principle do you value most?
Analog.

In a world overrun with screens/digital, we need some balance.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am a Corporate dropout who decided to pursue my creative passions a little later in life than was deemed smart. I thought I had a good plan, but then I realized I got on a terrifying roller coaster and I’ve been screaming ever since.

The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that refining comes with doing. Start the “thing” because you’ll never get better at it or make it better if you don’t start somewhere. I would never have reached the clarity I have in how I want my business to show up in this world without having started doing it and realizing where I could comfortably fill the gaps and make the kind of difference that is important to me.

My work focuses on creating tactile goods that are practical, useful, and ground folks in the moment they are receiving and/or using the product. I’m committed to continuing to evolve my businesses to support folks finding balance and fighting digital fatigue. Touch it, feel it…

Through my Award-Winning Stationery brand, Add Pink and Stir®, my Letterpress Printed Greeting Cards and Stationery encourage folks to Get Loud, Magnify Moments, and Leave an Impression.

My Design Studio and Print Shop, Crewdly Made Work + Shop, offers custom design and printing services primarily focused on packaging solutions for small-batch product makers.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
The Beach. If you are in the South Florida span for any length of time get to the beach. Just watching the water is healing…

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My family and friends. Pursuing a non-corporate career path a little later in life was a risk, and without their support, I’m not sure I would still be on this path.

My father’s support, especially, has had such a significant impact on my creative journey over the years. He invested his time, energy, and money into my creative pursuits in ways that gave me the freedom to explore with a safety net. My father has since passed, and one of the things that keeps me going when things get tough is knowing that he was proud and worked hard for me to be able to make these choices.
