Meet Sofia Bragar | Actress, Singer, Model & Dancer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Sofia Bragar and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sofia, what’s the end goal, career-wise?
That’s a great question. I see myself acting in award-winning network TV shows and films, taking on leading roles that both entertain and challenge me. I’ll also be performing on Broadway, singing my heart out to sold-out audiences. As a performer, my dream is to be rich in amazing unforgettable experiences—whether it’s being on set or in rehearsals, collaborating with other professionals who become close friends, and working consistently in a career that supports me financially so I never have to worry about money again. These opportunities will also allow me to travel the world and connect with people from all walks of life. On top of that, I’ll have built a solid foundation in action films, as doing stunt work is a major goal of mine.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Being an artist comes with its fair share of challenges. I absolutely love what I do and wouldn’t trade it for anything, but nothing truly prepares you for the rollercoaster that is the entertainment industry. Getting to where I am today wasn’t easy. I earned my BFA in Performing Arts with a focus on Musical Theatre in Los Angeles, then dove into the film and theatre world as a newcomer—navigating the industry while applying for my artist visa, which thankfully was approved. On top of that, I recovered from a knee injury, all while adjusting to life in a new city, a new culture, and a language that wasn’t my first. These are just a few examples of what I’ve had to overcome to still be here, actively working in this field.
I moved to Miami almost a year ago, and since then, I’ve been fortunate to build a growing body of work. Some of my Miami credits include the upcoming short films Job Trial and Airport Woes. I’ve also appeared in commercials such as the Duracell Super Bowl spot with Tom Brady and SouthMed with Sylvester Stallone, among others.
And yet, I have so much more I want to accomplish! There are many more roles I want to play, places I want to go, and dreams I’m determined to realize. I want to be in the room where it happens—and feel fulfilled emotionally, financially, and mentally while doing it!
Along the way, I’ve learned how important it is to push yourself and stay proactive, to chase your goals with intention—but also to respect your limits. There was a time when work consumed me completely. I neglected my mental health and missed out on gatherings with friends, on trips, on just living life. Sacrifices are often necessary in the pursuit of greatness, but losing yourself in the process isn’t worth it. We have to live outside of work—enjoy life, discover hobbies, make time for joy. That’s the lesson I’m embracing now: learning to find that balance between my passion and actually living my life.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’d say for touristy spots, I’d definitely visit the Vizcaya Museum, spend a day soaking up the sun at Miami Beach, and party at M2—or any club with fun Latin vibes! I’d drive up to Aventura Mall for some shopping and grab sushi at my favorite Peruvian restaurant in Boca Raton. Honestly, after that, it’d be all about bringing picnics to different beaches and just enjoying nature.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to dedicate my success—and this interview—to my parents, who have been my greatest supporters throughout my career. They mean the world to me and truly deserve recognition for everything they’ve done!
