Meet Vainilla Soaps Store | Yami and Yoli, the mother-daughter duo behind handcrafted candles and soaps infused with spiritual intention

We had the good fortune of connecting with Vainilla Soaps Store and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Vainilla, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Our decision to start this journey came from the heart — and from a shared desire to create something with soul. As mother and daughter, we’ve always shared a deep bond, and we felt called to build something together that would reflect our values, our energy, and our love for meaningful, intentional living.
We didn’t just want to run a business; we wanted to create a sacred space where we could offer beauty, healing, and purpose through everything we do. For us, starting this business was a way to heal, reconnect with our essence, and bring light into other people’s lives in an authentic and heartfelt way.
The vision came to us clearly: we wanted the freedom to work from love, creativity, and a slower, more conscious rhythm. This project was born as a reflection of our story, our roots, and our desire to share light from the most genuine part of ourselves.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Our art is an expression of soul, energy, and connection. What sets us apart is that every candle and soap we create is handmade with great intention, love, and respect for nature and spirituality. We don’t just offer products; we offer experiences designed to illuminate, heal, and accompany people on their journey to wellness.
What we are most proud of is the bond we have built with our community and the opportunity to transform a shared passion into a project that unites mother and daughter, reflecting our roots and values through every piece.
Getting to where we are today has not been an easy path. We have faced moments of doubt, fear, and logistical challenges, but we always overcame them with patience, constant learning, and trust in our purpose. Each obstacle taught us to be resilient and to stay true to our vision.
The most valuable lessons we have learned are the importance of authenticity, teamwork, and the power of creating from the heart. We want the world to know that Vainilla Soaps Store is not just a brand; it is a space where craftsmanship meets energy, where every product has a purpose and a story, and where we seek to inspire light and peace in every home.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If our best friend came to visit, we would want her to have an experience full of art, relaxation, and great food. So, our week-long itinerary would look something like this:
Day 1:
We would start with a stroll through the Wynwood district to enjoy its incredible street art and contemporary galleries. There are also antique and vintage shops that we love to explore. For lunch, we’d go to a well-known sushi restaurant in the area, such as Kyu or Pubbelly Sushi.
Day 2:
A day in Key Biscayne, enjoying its quiet and less crowded beaches—perfect for meditating by the sea and relaxing in nature. We could visit Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park, walk the trails, and climb the historic lighthouse. We’d finish the day at Gramps Getaway, a spot with a great vibe to have a drink and unwind.
Day 3:
We’d visit a local studio or workshop offering oil painting or ceramics classes, so our friend can experience art through hands-on creation. Miami has several places like Miami Art Studios or The Clay Spot.
Day 4:
A tour of antique shops and markets like Trifstores, Las Olas Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale, or the Lincoln Road market in Miami, looking for unique pieces and enjoying a relaxed atmosphere.
Day 5:
We’d visit the Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens in Delray Beach, home to the beautiful Dr. Ron and Arlene Kessler Bonsai Walk, an impressive bonsai collection within the Roji-en: Garden of the Dewdrops. Afterwards, we’d head to the Vizcaya Gardens in Miami, a historic mansion and gardens that combine art, architecture, and nature in a unique and storied setting.
Day 6:
A walk along Miracle Mile in Coral Gables, a perfect place to stroll, enjoy shops and cafes. If our friend wants to shop, we’d also take her to Aventura Mall, one of the largest and most comprehensive malls in the area. For food, we could go to a ramen restaurant for a different and delicious experience.
Day 7:
A visit to a contemporary art gallery or museum such as the Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) to connect with modern art and international exhibitions.
Overall, we want our friend to take away a perfect blend of artistic inspiration, relaxation, and delicious food, enjoying the best the city and its surroundings have to offer in these areas.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Absolutely. Our journey wouldn’t be what it is without the love, wisdom, and inspiration of the women in our family — especially our grandmothers and mothers who taught us to trust our intuition, honor our creativity, and move through life with faith.
We also want to give a heartfelt shoutout to the beautiful community that has supported us from the beginning — friends, clients, and fellow creators who believed in our vision when it was just a dream.
And lastly, we’re deeply grateful for the spiritual teachings, books, and mentors that reminded us to stay connected to our inner light and purpose — they helped us turn our craft into something sacred.
This journey has been guided by love, both seen and unseen.
