Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend were visiting the area for a week, I would give them the ultimate Miami experience full of beachside luxury, vibrant culture, and unforgettable fun. We would stay right on Miami Beach in a five star beachfront condominium or hotel, where the ocean views set the tone for every day. From sunbathing and swimming to people watching and spontaneous beach parties, we would soak in the full coastal vibe. Our days would start with brunch at chic restaurants along Ocean Drive, then continue up the coast through Mid Beach, Bal Harbour, and all the way to Sunny Isles for a mix of boutique shopping and luxury relaxation.
Evenings would be all about nightlife, watch parties, and connecting with local talents and celebrities at some of the city’s trendiest spots. We would make sure to check out live music lounges, rooftop bars, and exclusive events downtown. For something more dynamic, we would take a dance, stretch, or pole fitness class to keep the energy flowing, or dive into a local art or theater experience for a cultural reset. We would also attend business mentorships and networking events because while we play hard, we build harder. And of course, no visit would be complete without a night of dinner and a movie at a dine in theater or a spontaneous trip to one of the many shopping malls in the city. Miami is a place where luxury meets hustle, and that is exactly the energy I would want to share.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to give a heartfelt shout out to Abel Tesfaye, formerly known as The Weeknd, for the remarkable opportunity he gave me to serve as his creative director, director of public relations, and personal publicist. Working together with an industry titan and one of the most iconic artists of all time has been nothing short of transformative. Abel’s visionary approach to art, music, and storytelling pushed me to expand creatively, challenge conventions, and deliver work that reflects the depth and complexity of his artistic identity.
What makes Abel truly deserving of recognition is not only his groundbreaking talent but his clarity in recognizing potential and his ability to organize and lead. His willingness to collaborate, to take bold risks, and to authentically connect with audiences has inspired millions, including myself. I am grateful for the space he created for me to thrive professionally and contribute meaningfully to a legacy that continues to shape the cultural landscape. Thank you, Abel, for believing in my voice and for allowing me to help amplify yours.
Abel Tesfaye is the founder of XO Records, the non-profit organization HXOUSE, and the production studio Manic Phase Studios. Manic Phase Studios recently produced its first feature film, Hurry Up Tomorrow, a psychological musical thriller that was both directed and produced by Abel himself. The film was created for his upcoming album of the same title, Hurry Up Tomorrow, and demonstrates an integration between music and film.
