Meet Emme Parsons | Founder

We had the good fortune of connecting with Emme Parsons and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Emme, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking.
The biggest risk that I’ve ever taken is starting my brand. I’ve found that, generally speaking, the greater the risk, the greater the reward. When you’re able to step outside of your comfort zone, and let go of the fear of failure, that’s when you can reach your full potential and life becomes more fulfilling and rich.

What should our readers know about your business?
My brand is a labor of love, and my approach to brand growth has been centered around building strong, long-lasting relationships with our factories, retailers and customers.
The premise of my brand was to create a line of footwear that felt relevant but not overly trend driven. We are also committed to having sharp price points within our competitive set and a focus on quality and attention to detail.
Nothing comes from nothing and anything worth achieving comes with a unique and on-going set of challenges! I think having a mindset that there will always be problems and to move through them with grace is helpful.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
(I’m actually based in West Palm Beach, not Miami but I’ll provide a list for South Florida)
My favorite restaurant in the area is The Blue Door, which opened about two years ago. It’s a welcome addition to the area. Tamara Magalhães is a dear friend and runs the front of house.
For drinks I like going to The Four Seasons for the ocean views, and it’s generally never too crowded.
The Norton Museum has an incredible collection of contemporary art and a beautifully landscaped sculpture garden. I also love the Bass Museum and PAMM in Miami.
Jessie Bonne is a talented jewelry designer based in Miami who is also a dear friend. She does private appointments and custom pieces and has a French-Caribbean/Mexican background that influences her designs.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My children, who are my greatest muses. I launched my brand when my son was a baby because I wanted to be a role model for him to never be afraid to follow his dreams. They continue to inspire me and teach me something new every day.
