We had the good fortune of connecting with Tania Gomez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tania, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
The idea to launch Gather & Graze by Tania came to life in November 2022, inspired by years of hosting events and gatherings for friends and family. Creating grazing boards and mini tables at home became a passion of mine because I’ve always believed that great food is the heart of any memorable occasion.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My career has been a journey of persistence, purpose, and passion. What sets me apart is my commitment to staying authentic and while always evolving. I’ve never been afraid to challenge the norm or take the longer, less-traveled path if it meant staying true to my values. I’m most proud building something from scratch that once felt impossible.

Getting to where I am today wasn’t easy. There were moments of doubt, rejection, and unexpected setbacks. But those challenges shaped me. I learned early on that resilience isn’t just about bouncing back it’s about growing through what you go through. Every “no” became a redirection, and every challenge became a lesson.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is the power of consistency. I’ve also learned to trust the process and to not compare my path to anyone else’s.

What I want the world to know about me and my brand, Gather & Graze by Tania, is that it’s built on purpose and passion bringing people together to enjoy beautifully curated food while creating meaningful moments and lasting memories.”

My story is still being written but I’m proud of the chapters so far, and even more excited for what’s next.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend were visiting Miami for a week, I’d make sure they experienced the city the way locals love it—vibrant, sunny, and full of flavor. We’d definitely start with some time on the water—there’s truly no better way to enjoy Miami than with a beach day or boating adventure. Whether it’s cruising around Biscayne Bay or relaxing on the sands of South Beach, fun in the sun is a must.

For dining, we’d hit up some of my favorite waterfront spots—anywhere with a laid-back vibe, fresh seafood, and a great cocktail menu. Think places like Rusty Pelican, Seaspice or Casa Neos perfect for soaking up the atmosphere with unbeatable views.

During the week, we’d explore different neighborhoods too. A day in Wynwood for the art, murals, and trendy cafés, followed by an afternoon in the Design District for a little luxury shopping and creative inspiration. One evening, we’d head to Little Havana for authentic Cuban food, live music, and dancing because no trip to Miami is complete without that cultural experience.

We’d also take some time to unwind maybe a spa day and some pampering.

By the end of the week, I’d want my friend to leave feeling like they truly experienced Miami not just the postcard version, but the real mix of sun, soul, and unforgettable moments.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Absolutely. I’d like to dedicate a shoutout to all my friends whose support, guidance, and belief in me made a huge difference. I also want to recognize the people behind the scenes my daughter Ariana and my fiancé Alex they are the ones who might not always get the spotlight but whose encouragement, and quiet strength have helped shape my journey. No story is written alone, and I’m incredibly grateful for every voice that’s been part of mine.
